'Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage on being a dad

Peter Dinklage was a big winner at the 69th annual Golden Globes. He took home the prize for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series for his excellent turn as Tyrion Lannister in "Game of Thrones." So, was he nervous about the awards show? Yes, but not about the show. It was because he'd left his 6-week-old daughter at home with her first baby sitter.Backstage at the show, he told Access Hollywood that he was more nervous than his wife Erica Schmidt about leaving his little girl. "But she's the one texting, because I think I'd be sweating. I don't think my texts would work," he said.He said that this role was one of the best he's had. "It's up there, yeah," he said. "It's sort of a continuing thing. I've never been a part of something that might go on for about six or seven years, so that's fun... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/01/game-of-thrones-peter-dinklage-on-being-a-dad.html

Game of Thrones: George R.R. Publishes Chapter from "The Winds of Winter" Online

Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin has given a little holiday gift to his fans: a chapter from his upcoming book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. The fifth book in the series, "A Dance with Dragons" was released earlier this year.  Martin provided a bit of an explanation on his Livejournal account about this new release: "The chronology, as usual, is tricky. This chapter will be found eventually at the beginning of WINDS, but as you will be able to tell from context, it actually takes place before some of the chapters at the end of DANCE.  FYI, there will be a different sample chapter from WINDS OF WINTER included at the end of the paperback edition of A DANCE WITH DRAGONS when that is published next July." 'Game of Thrones' Season 2 production diary

'Game of Thrones' is still a constant topic of conversation on Twitter and Facebook, despite being on hiatus. The show's recent Golden Globe nomination for Best Drama doesn't hurt, nor does it's appearance on a zillion top 10 lists. After all, it did have two of the best death scenes ever. A crown of molten metal and a pretty spectacular and surprising beheading.Since the show wrapped, there has been a ton of casting news and recently a look at the teaser trailer for Season 2. Now we've gotten a brand new video showing some behind-the-scenes footage from the production in Belfast, Ireland. Not only do we get to hear about why they chose to film there, but we get a couple of tantalizing glimpses of characters and scenes that fans of the book will recognize. Actors Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) give us a look at what it's like to film in... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/12/game-of-thrones-season-2-production-diary.html

Game of Thrones Season 2: Two New Behind-the-Scenes Videos

We're still a few long months from the premiere of Game of Thrones  season 2, but HBO is keeping fans satiated with plenty of great sneak peeks. Back in September, we got the very simple "Night is Dark and Full of Terrors" trailer. A quick teaser video was released in November, while we finally got the first official season trailer with "The Cold Winds Are Rising" earlier this month. Now, we've gotten another sneak peek at season 2: this in the form of two behind-the-scenes set videos. Winter-Is-Coming.net   posted the first video below on Tuesday, featuring quite a major look at the new season. While there isn't anything too concrete, those who have read the book can pick up on quite a few characters revealed in the video. We get quite a few more looks at Red Sorceress, Melisandre, riding on horseback alongside King Stannis and his right-hand man, Davos Seaworth. There are some glimpses at what could possibly be a Brienne of Tarth (in the background at 0:49), and even better, a look at Theon Greyjoy's religious uncle, Aeron Damphair, who many had feared to be cut from the season entirely. Thankfully, this video makes it obvious that this was not the case. Watch for yourself below: The second video is a much simpler affair, talking about fighting scenes in the season. We get a lot of shots of some guards fighting people, and then we get a quick glimpse at Sandor "the Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann) on set, giving us a thumbs-up as his burn make-up is adjusted. Check that video out below: Game of Thrones  season 2 will premiere in April 2012. If this video is any indication of what's to come, we should definitely be excited for it. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/tvovermind/tvnews/~3/i4dp0NHqWWs/113370
