'Ghost Hunters': Grant Wilson's Finale Investigation

Grant Wilson closed the chapter on his time with " Ghost Hunters " (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on Syfy) by investigating the inn he owns with fellow TAPS founder Jason Hawes. And he wasn't to go out quietly, as the inn lived up to its haunted reputation. The team watched, with cameras rolling, as a door inexplicably opened slowly. It had been closed all night and no one was visibly opening it. At another point, a deadbolt lock kept relocking when Jason would try to unlock it. Once they got that door open, there was no one inside the room who could have been doing that. The Spalding Inn has been plagued by spirits for 80-plus years, making it the perfect place for a final investigation for the new co-owner. There were plenty of sounds caught on camera, including footsteps in empty rooms above where the investigators were, and windows and doors opening and closing on their own. Even more eery, a woman's voice rang out a few times. The final tally is that the house is definitely rife with spiritual activity. That and the fact that it's own by the "Ghost Hunters" stars should ensure it does a brisk business. "Ghost Hunters" has been renewed by Syfy, and will return for an ninth season, without Grant as part of the investigative team. 'Ghost Hunters' Catch A Princess' Scream

One week before Grant Wilson's final hunt, the " Ghost Hunters " (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on Syfy) headed back to Mount Washington Resort, where they had previously had some success reaching the other side during the fourth season. The Resort was apparently once inhabited by a French princess. Her bedroom had been a hotbed of activity the last time they were there, so they tried again. One again, they got tremendous results, as well as one of the single most chilling responses in the history of the show. After asking for a knock if the spirit wanted them to leave, they immediately got one. The spirit even finished up the classic "shave and a haircut" knock with a resounding "two bits." But it was a muffled scream that had the guys truly stunned and repeating, "Are you kidding me?" over and over again. Reality TV Magazine called that "the creepiest moment in the entire episode." There are always plenty of creepy moments on "Ghost Hunters," Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Syfy. 'Ghost Hunters' Search For Spirits In A Brewery

The " Ghost Hunters " (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on Syfy) headed to Mount Joy, Pennsylvania to investigate suspected paranormal activity at a brewery. Staff at the family-owned Bube's Brewery had reported hearing stange noises and seeing a spectral young woman haunting the fine dining area. During their investigation the TAPS team recorded what they felt was strong evidence of a ghostly voice speaking in German. But was it real? The owners told FlipsidePA that while Bube's has been investigated before, and they've run ghost tours there for some years, they've never personally experienced ghostly apparitions. 'Ghost Hunters' Get Physical Response From Ghost Marine

The " Ghost Hunters " (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on Syfy) headed to Annapolis, Maryland this week to investigate a spectral presence at the U.S. Naval Institute. Their target was a young lieutenant whose death was declared a suicide, but many believe it was murder. As no one was ever convicted for his murder, he's believed to now be haunting the facility. One of his known tricks is closing doors, and that's exactly what the team almost caught on camera. They caught the sound, but didn't get the visual on camera. Nevertheless, they took it as a very hopeful sign, and pulled out a picture of his mother. For three days after his death she believed he was reaching out to her to tell her he'd been murdered. So they were hoping to get a reaction out of the ghost with her picture. They did capture what sounded like a voice speaking, but they determined that the spirit meant no harm. 'Ghost Hunters': Little Girl Haunts Frat House

On most college campuses, fraternity houses loving having girls over, but it was a different story on " Ghost Hunters " (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on Syfy). The team was called in to deal with the spirit of a little girl haunting a frat house after supposedly falling to her death down a flight of secret stairs. The team set up shop, and did get spooked by the sound of a door closing and footsteps when there was no one else around. Was it the little girl, or a classic fraternity prank? When attempting to communicate with her, the team asked if she was upset because the place she was haunting was now a fraternity house. With all the noise and partying that goes on at most frat houses, the guys probably barely notice someone trying to get a good haunting going. 'Ghost Hunters': Meredith Vieira ain't afraid of no ghosts

"Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" host (and former co-host of "The View" and "Today") Meredith Vieira is a brave woman. She manages to stay calm when the dum-dum-dum music plays on the game show. She braved the cat fights on "The View" and the Halloween episodes of "Today." So what is she doing to top all of that? She's stalking the supernatural on "Ghost Hunters."Vieira did an interview with Syfy about the experience, saying she's believed in ghosts since childhood. She also admitted to some fear about what might happen. The Ghost Hunters (who were also guests on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire") are often scratched, pushed and attacked by otherworldly beings.
