For Ghost Whisperer's star and executive producer Jennifer Love Hewitt, every day on the set is a busy one. But that didn't stop her from pulling triple duty as the director of the CBS series' 100th episode, airing Friday at 8/7c. "It was definitely daunting and definitely nerve-racking, but I was really excited and honored to get to do it," Hewitt says. "Having been on the show and worked this hard on it, it was really nice to be in control of such a big episode." Executive producers Kim Moses and Ian Sander said asking Hewitt to direct was a "no-brainer" after her past success behind the camera. "When the new season came, she of course wanted to direct again and, frankly, we insisted that she direct again because she did such a good job," Sander says. "When we started talking about the 100th episode and that we wanted it to be special ... it seemed like a natural to have her direct it." In the episode, titled "Implosion" and written by series creator John Gray, Melinda must race against a ticking clock when a ghost tells her that a bomb has gotten into the wrong hands. Although this is now Hewitt's third time in the director's chair, she says she explored a lot of new territory in the action-intense episode. "There are some big explosions in the episode which are really fun. I had never done those before as a director or as an actor," Hewitt says. "I had no idea quite how explosive it was going to be on all angles." To Read More Click Here .
* Who Do You Think You Are? (8/7c NBC) History, travel, real-world drama and celeb profiles all intertwine when stars explore their family trees in this seven-part series co-executive produced by Lisa Kudrow. Adapted from a British documentary series, the show begins its ancestral odysseys with first subject Sarah Jessica Parker. The Emmy-winning Sex and the City actress charts her lineage in a journey of self-discovery that directs her to Northern California and then Salem, Mass. * Ghost Whisperer (8/7c CBS) The series reaches its milestone 100th episode, which is directed by series star Jennifer Love Hewitt. It begins when Melinda meets a ghost who tells her about a secret munitions dump containing unexploded bombs. The ghost further reveals that one of the bombs is missing...and that someone will die as a result. * Numb3rs (10/9c CBS) In the penultimate episode of the season (and perhaps the series), Don investigates two deaths that are connected to sexual assaults that were committed many years earlier. The probe reveals the victims were raped by one of their former teachers when they were kids. On a much happier note, Charlie and Amita receive a terrific job opportunity in London, but it could force them to alter their wedding plans. * Caprica (9/8c Syfy ) Since the protagonists and their basic motivations have been established, the time seems right to add new, pivotal players to the mix. John Pyper-Ferguson, who appeared in a few episodes of Battlestar Galactica, clocks in as a rival industrialist with a tempting offer for Daniel while James Marsters (Spike to Buffy fans and Brainiac to Smallville folks) turns up as a foil for Sister Clarice. * Dog Whisperer (9/8c National Geographic ) Some misunderstood breeds, like Pomeranians, German shepherds and pit bulls, get a bad rap. But the truth is, when raised responsibly, all are capable of being perfect canine companions, as evidenced over the years by Cesar's beloved pit bull, Daddy, who sadly succumbed to old age last month. In this installment, the host counts down the most aggressive breeds, as voted on by more than 10,000 viewers, and revisits some of his toughest cases to dispel some myths about aggression. A couple Ghost Whisperer casting notes to pass along: * Margaret Cho (pictured) will reprise her role as a teacher of the occult for two more episodes. Says Producer Ian Sander: 'She's going to help solve some crimes." * The Shield actress Catherine Dent will also come aboard a future installment, portraying a drunken ghost named Laura. 'It was really fun playing a drunk because I could show up to work looking like crap," said Dent. The show airs its 100th, Jennifer Love Hewitt-directed episode this week. Source Here
This Friday, Ghost Whisperer doesn't merely return with its first new episode in weeks - it airs its 100th installment. The special episode is directed by Jennifer Love Hewitt. Looking ahead, the drama's cast and crew spoke to TV Guide Magazine this week about the season finale in May. Titled "The Children's Parade," what can fans expect from this episode? When it returns next week, "Ghost Whisperer" will reach a milestone. To mark the 100th episode, Jennifer Love Hewitt goes behind the lens to direct her co-stars as well as guest star Bruce Davison who reprises his role of Josh Bedford. A ghost who knows of a hidden munitions dump with unexploded bombs confides in Melinda that one of those bombs is missing and in the wrong hands, warning that someone will lose their life. According to some reports, the one who dies will be a major character. Written by John Gray, "Implosion" airs on March 5. Based on the casting call, there will be two main ghosts in this episode, a young boy named Joey and his father Jim. Joey is stuck in the earthly world mainly because he wants to reconnect to his military hero father who died in war. Joey's mother Julie seeks help from Melinda in time of great distress.
