Friday Ratings: Two-Hour Smallville Hits Season High - Featured

Smallville's two-hour movie "Absolute Justice" brought in the series' absolute best ratings all season, grabbing 2.8 million viewers Friday. The ratings were not only Smallville's best all season; it was also the CW's best Friday showing since September 2008. "Absolute Justice" also brought in the series' highest numbers in the adults 18-to-49 demo, with a 1.2 rating. However, CBS handily won the night once again. Ghost Whisperer attracted 8.77 million viewers and Medium brought in 9.10 million viewers. NUMB3RS led the night at 10/9c with 9.18 million viewers. ABC came in second, with a new episode of Supernanny only watched by 5.39 million viewers and a new Shark Tank registering with only 4.66 million. Barbara Walters' exclusive interview with South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford on 20/20 was seen by 8.66 million viewers, topping the night's other news magazine, NBC's Dateline, which nabbed 6.49 million viewers at 9/8c. In the same timeslot, the second new episode of Fox's Kitchen Nightmares gained from the show's series-low premiere last week with 4.13 million viewers, thanks to a strong House repeat at 8/7c at 3.85 million viewers. Someone is Gonna Die on The Ghost Whisperer

On March 5, The Ghost Whisperer airs its 100th episode. This is a milestone for any series and will be highlighted by the fact that Jennifer Love Hewitt directs the installment. But it will be pertinent for a storytelling reason, as well: a major character will die. Producer P.K. Simonds shared this spoiler with Fancast.com in an interview this week. He said: There's a character, an important one, who is gonna die. Fans might want to start wondering who that is. I'm not sure they'll be able to guess. And that takes us ahead to the home stretch. There's gonna be a reckoning between Melinda, her son Aiden, Eli and Ned and the book that they've been reading and their battle against the shadows. There's a very big climax we're headed to at the end of the season and everything is at stake. It's all gonna come down to the lives of all our key characters being on the line - especially Melinda and Aiden. It doesn't get much more intriguing than that, does it? Who do you think is gonna be killed off? Source Here

Tonight's TV Hot List: Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 - Featured

* Ghost Whisperer (8/7c CBS) Comedian Margaret Cho guest stars as a teacher in a humorless situation. Cho plays Ned's occult-anthropology professor, who is being followed by a secret admirer. Sure, that happens occasionally to teachers...except that this admirer is dead. * Smallville (8/7c The CW ) In a special two-hour episode, Clark and Chloe set out to save the Justice League of America from the murderous Icicle (Wesley MacInnes). After Clark and Chloe reunite reclusive JLA members Dr. Fate (Brent Stait), Hawkman (Michael Shanks) and Star Girl (Britt Irvin), the group works together to avoid tragedy. They might also want to check in on Lois, who has come to the attention of Amanda Waller (Pam Grier), head of the mysterious Checkmate agency. * Caprica (9/8c Syfy ) Yes, there's a lumbering Cylon in the cast, but the spin-off pushes away from Battlestar Galactica and steps closer to The Sopranos when the perturbed Adama brothers pay Daniel a visit. But the Graystone abuse doesn't stop there - it turns out that Caprica's paparazzi and pundits are just as vicious as the ones on Earth, and Amanda's public admission about Zoe didn't do the family any favors. * Numb3rs (10/9c CBS) At the end of last week's episode, a bearded Larry (Peter MacNicol) emerged from the desert looking like a hobo. Tonight, he returns to campus, where Charlie finds him on an office floor. Hopefully, he sticks around awhile and doesn't abruptly disappear again. As for the main case, jewel thieves target a televised awards ceremony, where they steal millions in gems during the broadcast. Marilu Henner, William Katt and Stephen Spinella guest star. * SOS Saving OurSelves: Help for Haiti (8/7c BET, MTV, VH1) George Clooney's Hope for Haiti Now telethon has raised more than $66 million since it aired two weeks ago. Organizers of this benefit concert hope to similarly inspire viewers to dig deep into their own pockets and donate to organizations providing immediate relief in Haiti, including Yele Haiti, Project Medishare and Children's Safe Drinking Water. Diddy, Queen Latifah and Pharrell host this celebrity telethon, which includes performances by Wyclef Jean, Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris and Robin Thicke. Karen Andzejewicz Source Here
