Griff's Great Britain
Mondays, on ITV
Britain is home to a huge variety of landscapes, and its these that take center stage in this 8 part series as Griff Rhys Jones investigates how they have dictated different ways of living, working and playing across the entire country.
In this episode Griff travels to the beautiful borderlands of the Shropshire countryside. He takes to the air to survey the landscape in all its glory before descending to fulfil his final challenge. From medieval Ludlow to the engineering marvel that is Chirk Aqueduct; Little Switzerland to Llangollen Canal – Griff explores them all in his attempt to ‘catch a dragon’.
In tonight’s opening episode, Griff explores the stunningly beautiful South Downs in Sussex. In search of what makes this landscape so special, Griff takes in a bird’s eye view from the air and a biker’s view from the ground – and along the way attempts to get to know one of the region’s woolliest inhabitants.
