Now we have finally reached the end. Literally. Grimm Season 6 Episode 13 was actually titled "The End." Fitting enough for a series based on fairy tales. Given that basis, should anyone actually be surprised at the manner in which the whole Zerstrer problem was resolved? I figured out fairly quickly that they would almost certainly pull some kind of reset or undo on us. Basically, when they killed Rosalee. Anyone else, they could have gotten away with, but the woman pregnant with triplets? ...Read More... https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/03/grimm-season-6-episode-13-review-the-end/
Warning: This post contains major spoilers from Grimms series finale. In the end, Grimms devil is defeated by a tiny detail. Granted, that detail that Nick must willingly give Zerstrer the magic stick in order for the otherworldly demon to complete his all-powerful staff and bring on the apocalypse doesnt make itself apparent until http://tvline.com/2017/03/31/grimm-series-finale-recap-the-end-season-6-episode-13/
It's not often that an episode of television makes me want to slam my head into the wall repeatedly, but unfortunately Grimm Season 6 Episode 12 is just such an episode. When reasonably intelligent characters behave in mind-numbingly stupid fashion, one finds it difficult to actually make it through the story. ...Read More... https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/03/grimm-season-6-episode-12-review-zerstorer-shrugged/
Eve had wanted to find the creature that was stalking her. She thought that if she found it that she could kill it however she didn’t know where to look and Adalind had sort of been a last resort. But Adalind hadn’t wanted to help. Adalind thought that it would be too dangerous and that they should to talk about it with the others first. So Eve had manipulated Adalind. She said that she thought the creature was looking for her because she could see the signs in the tunnel and that it would mean Diana was in danger as well. And so Adallind decided to help Eve because she hadn’t wanted that creature after her daughter. However, Adalind’s assistance wasn’t much. Adalind, herself, didn’t know what that creature was and therefore the best she could do for Eve was to give the other women some of her mom’s old spell books. So Eve had taken the large collection home with her, back at the Spice Shop, and there had been a lot for her to go through yet Adalind later came clean with Nick and she told him about the spell books she had given Eve. She said that it was best they found out what the creature was and that Eve was going to go looking for answers with or without her which was true even if it did little to comfort Nick. READ MORE...
Ever get that feeling you're running in place? That you've ended up back where you began? Turns out that Grimm Season 6 Episode 11 has an odd case of this. For all those Grimmsters who have been longing for an episode devoted exclusively to the big arc with the Magic Stick and the weird symbols and everything, they certainly got... something. Who in the world is making these prophesies, I have to ask? ...Read More... https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/03/grimm-season-6-episode-11-review-where-the-wild-things-were/
One could once again fault the series for introducing new worldbuilding with only a precious few episodes left, but Grimm Season 6 Episode 10 made up for it with a definite poignancy to the A-story. Alzheimer's disease and dementia are terrible enough on their own. But someone suffering from dementia who also happens to be Wesen? A recipe for tragedy in so many ways. ...Read More... https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/03/grimm-season-6-episode-10-review-blood-magic/
Okay, one thing's for certain: I am not going hiking in the woods anytime soon. Yeah, sure, the victims in Grimm Season 6 Episode 9 were all vile, nature-destroying malefactors, but what a way to go...! This story featured not one but two flora-related beings, the kinoshimobe and the people-eating tree. It's really sort of perplexing that this sort of thing hasn't come up before, actually. ...Read More... https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/03/grimm-season-6-episode-9-review-tree-people/
The harmless cloth that Nick had found was more than just a cloth. It seems that was a calendar that could tell the future and so it said something was coming. But the gang knew that whatever that ‘something’ was that it couldn’t be good. So they all chose to a little more research into what might be coming their way. They had looked into ancient texts, pagan rituals, and even the few things that Nick still had about the Grimms however they didn’t find much of what they wanted because what Monroe found may or may not be connected to the March Event! Monroe had apparently found a mythological rendering. Pope Gregory XVI had ordered the rendering to be painted on some church or another yet what was odd about it was that it mixed Wesen culture into the astronomical as if the pope truly believed that Wesens came from others worlds. However, the fact that the pope could have seen Wesen meant he was probably a Grimm and so there was a chance that the pope did know what he was talking about when he mentioned Wesens. So did they come from another world or was Pope Gregory simply seeking answers? READ MORE...
I confess: I had a really, really hard time deciding what grade to give Grimm Season 6 Episode 8 because I was just too busy laughing my head off. It was just so difficult to take "The Son Also Rises" with any amount of seriousness, particularly as a person with a degree in English and a modicum of scientific understanding. ...Read More... https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/02/grimm-season-6-episode-8-review-the-son-also-rises/
Diana was an unusual child. She was often more perceptive that she should be and she was definitely more powerful than anyone felt comfortable with however she was still a child and she had asked Eve about her first mommy. Diana had said that her first mommy was Kelly like her brother and that she didn’t where she went. But Eve couldn’t tell the little girl about what had happened to Nick’s mother because she knew that Kelly’s death had been her fault. So Eve had tried putting off telling Diana the truth and she had gotten lucky when Adalind had told her daughter to get ready to go to her dad’s. Diana was technically going to be spending the whole weekend at her Dad’s because her mother and the others were going out of town for Monroe’s birthday and it was going to be an adult only thing. However, Diana didn’t mind spending time with Renard and she loved the fact she got the chance to cook when she was with him. So remembering that had helped the little girl momentarily forget about her first mommy yet Diana had been asked to keep a secret. She had been asked by her mother not to mention what she saw in the tunnels because it might be dangerous. So the little girl had promised that she wouldn’t mention anything and then she sort of made a mistake at her dad’s. READ MORE...
