Grimm Reviews & Ratings

60 minutes

When Portland, Ore., homicide detective Nick Burkhardt receives a visit from his sick aunt, he gets an explanation for some strange events in his life. She informs him that he is descended from a long ancestry of "Grimms", not just chroniclers of fairy tales but hunters charged with protecting humanity from supernatural creatures. Soon Nick discovers that he can see the creatures, "wesen", who look merely human to most people, and he must bear the responsibility of his ancestors and deal with the mythology of the Brothers Grimm. As Burkhardt tries to cope with the newfound dangers of his life without alarming his fiancee and his partner, he becomes more knowledgeable about the ancient rivalry -- with help from a peaceable clockmaker.

A very slightly shaky start and a lore that changed a little as the show evolved. However, it quickly became a must-watch with great storylines and absolutely BAMF characters. The final two episodes had me sobbing like a baby, but it had a really satisfying conclusion. Grimm will be much missed by me.

Super série qui nous a accompagné pendant 6 belles années. Très bien conclue par ce dernier épisode. Vas me manquer, j'espère qu'ils feront une suite un jour au vu de la conclusion!

A great show with a fantastic story line and acting, taking a fresh approach to a mythical look at the world we live in, and creating an alternate fantasy universe where there is a secret world most people know nothing about.
My one qualm with the show is the lack of realism when it comes to the frequency of attacks comparative to the portrayed size of the Wesen community. As well as later on, when many Wesen do a full woge, every single time, which from how it was explained should be a rarity, rather than the norm.
However despite this minor issue the overall, and weekly plots make sense, with the teams ever increasing size never does it feel like there is a chance of losing, which personally I find a shame. ***WARNING SPOILERS NEXT***
The show took a very dark route in the finale episodes, with multiple deaths, and this bothers me somewhat, because they all came back to life, if there had been less overall death, but no resurrection personally I think it would have been a stronger ending, it would have left more feeling of loss for the show with the death of one of the characters, not Nick, as that would have been even more cliche than what did happen, but if Hank and Wu had remained dead, it would have been so much better, or at least in my opinion.

Fun and campy. What's not to like? Plus the ending was a nice happy wrap up!

I only watched 3 episodes and couldn't get into this show. The evil creatures just weren't scary to me at all and I didn't find the main characters interesting.

If you like the good guys fighting supernatural beasts then you will love this show. But it is best when starting this show start with season 1 episode 1 or nothing will make sense

Good beginning but too repetitive... The idea is good, though!
