Scott Caan awoke Wednesday (June 29) with this reaction: "Tom Sizemore is coming on?"Zap2it informed the "Hawaii Five-O" co-star that "Saving Private Ryan" and "Heat" movie veteran Sizemore will recur on CBS' Monday crime-drama reboot in its forthcoming second season as an Internal Affairs investigator ... one likely involved in a probe of Five-0 chief Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin), framed for murdering Hawaii's governor (Jean Smart) by arch villain Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos), who secretly had the politician in his pocket."Lost" Emmy winner Terry O'Quinn also is being added to the "Five-0" cast for year two, and Caan tells Zap2it he thinks the moves are typically "really smart" of executive producer Peter M. Lenkov. "I know he has his ideas about the show, and CBS has its ideas about the show, and neither of them is wrong. Over the years, he's going to figure out a way to switch things up and make this interesting... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/hawaii-five-0-scott-caan-on-tom-sizemore-terry-oquinn-joining-cast.html

'Modern Family' is the 2010-11 DVR champion; 'Hawaii Five-0,' 'Fringe,' also make big gains

"Modern Family's" ratings were quite good this season just counting the people who watched it the night it aired. Among DVR users, though, no other series got a bigger boost. The ABC comedy added almost 3.5 million viewers and 1.7 ratings points among adults 18-49 per episode, according to Nielsen's live+7 rankings for the 2010-11 season. That puts it at the top of the list in both categories. (The live+7 ratings count only original episodes, not repeats or those classified as "specials" -- i.e., episodes that aired away from their usual time period.)"Hawaii Five-0" gained the second-highest number of viewers for the season, an average of 3.26 million per episode. It was also in the Top 10 in adults 18-49 gains, going from a 2.9 rating to a 4.0.The season's two most-watched shows overall, "American Idol" and "Dancing With the Stars," aren't especially great DVR performers, since their live-performance elements tend to make people want to... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/modern-family-is-the-2010-11-dvr-champion-hawaii-five-0-fringe-also-make-big-gains.html

'Hawaii Five-0': A new team member and more Season 2 teases from EP Peter Lenkov

"Hawaii Five-0's" writers started work on Season 2 this week, so there's not a lot that executive producer Peter Lenkov can tell us about it. Except: "I'm really excited because there are some major surprises -- there's one in the first episode of the season."And also: "We wanted to explore the other islands. ... We're going to do that this year." And: "There is a resolution at the end of [episode] 201, but we still keep a big part of it open."OK -- so maybe there are a few things to tell. Zap2it spoke with Lenkov Thursday (June 9) at PitchCon, an industry event for independent content producers where he was speaking, about new characters and where Season 2 will begin. He already knows that because he and Paul Zbyszewski, who co-wrote the team-splintering, McGarrett-in-handcuffs Season 1 finale, did so with the season premiere in mind."When we broke the story, we also broke the resolution.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/hawaii-five-0-a-new-team-member-and-more-season-2-teases-from-ep-peter-lenkov.html
