The Bolt brothers (Jason, Joshua and Jeremy) bet their mountain that they can bring one hundred marriageable women back to Seattle and that those women will remain in Seattle for a year. In exchange, Aaron Stempel funds their expenses. The Bolt brothers
Loosely based upon the Mercer Girls project, Asa Mercer's efforts to bring civilization to old Seattle in the 1860s by importing marriageable women from the east coast cities of the United States, the American Civil War left those towns short of men. And the producers were inspired by the movie, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. It's a sweet and funny show. Doesn't stay serious for long and there's little gun-play or violence. The show addressed social issues like: racism, ethnic discrimination, treatment of the handicapped and mentally impaired, business ethics, ecology. The Bolt brothers replanted the trees they cut down. The show changed time slots in season 2, ratings slipped and it was cancelled. I loved this show!
