'Homeland' at Comic-Con: Get your Season 2 spoilers right here

"Homeland" premiered its Season 2 trailer at Comic-Con, and -- no shocker here -- it is another action-packed, nail-biting, thriller.Spoilers ahead...1. Brody (Damian Lewis) wins the election and is a U.S. Congressman --- taking "making a difference" to a whole new level. 2. Carrie (Claire Danes) is a professor, grading students' papers instead of doing her own intelligence work until she is approached by the CIA for a three-day undercover mission to Beirut. "We just need you to meet with your asset and find out what she knows."3. Brody is involved -- as a politician -- in Carrie's mission, which threatens to turn into a "Blackhawk Down situation."  When the "mission profile" switches "from capture to kill," Brody tells the shady vice president: "I am not a terrorist. I am a U.S. Congressman."  Uh-huh.4.  The first two episodes take place in Beirut, which showrunner Howard Gordon told panelists was filmed in Israel. Homeland Season 2 Promo: Hitting Home

Why kill a man... when you can kill an idea? So Homeland teased on the finale of its incredible first season in December, and so we're reminded in the short trailer below. Released over the weekend by Showtime, the promo is only 11 seconds in length, but it centers around Brody and his upcoming presence in the heart of our nation's capitol. What damage will the presumed traitor inflict from inside the Hill? We'll have to wait until September 30 to find out. Homeland Season 2 Teaser Released

In a matter of 10 seconds, my excitement for the second season of Homeland increased greatly. Of course, I've been ready to see the results of Carrie's (horrifying) electro-shock therapy and the first steps toward Brody's political career ever since the first season ended; this recently released teaser just stoked the fire that much more. In the clip, we see Sergeant Nicholas Brody, presumed American hero, repeating a line that Abu Nazir told him in the season one finale: "why kill a man when you can kill an idea?". It's not a flashy or "big" promo, but it's deeply unnerving and equally effective, suggesting that Brody's journey into the heart of darkness is only just beginning. 'Homeland': Zuleikha Robinson joins Season 2

Zuleikha Robinson will join Showtime's terror drama "Homeland" for Season 2 in a recurring role as a journalist with ties to a Middle Eastern terrorist, reports Deadline. As Zap2it reported, the new "Homeland" character is Roya, a sexy journalist with ties to Abu Nazir who will make contact with Brody (Damian Lewis) to convince him to commit another act of treason for the terrorist mastermind.Robinson is familiar to TV viewers as "Rome's" lusty Gaia and "Lost's" mysterious Ilana Verdansky, who was a de facto henchman for "Other" leader Jacob. Per IMDB, Robinson hasn't been acting since "Lost" wrapped in 2010. What do you think of the addition of Robinson to the cast? Will the show benefit from a third strong female character? The first two are, of course, Carrie (Claire Danes) and Jess (Morena Baccarin).... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/homeland-zuleikha-robinson-joins-season-2.html

'Homeland' Season 2: 5 need-to-know facts about Showtime's terror thriller

"Homeland" doesn't return to Showtime until Sept. 30, so we obviously need to start noodling out where the Claire Danes/Damian Lewis terror-suspense drama is headed in Season 2 right now. Luckily, producer Alex Gansa answered some burning questions for TV Line and we're passing that information on to you -- with nothing redacted -- here:1. Will Carrie remember that she realized Brody knew Abu Nazeer's son or did that knowledge vanish forever when she underwent electroshock treatment for her bipolar disorder?Gansa: "There's a tremendous sense out there in the audience of wanting Carrie to know that she was right, that she's not crazy and is really good at what she does, and that's the moment we're going to be building towards. Whether it's going to happen in Season 2, I can't tell you."2. So, does that mean she's all better?Gansa: "Carrie has willed herself into a place of mental health, so she's very different from... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/homeland-season-2-5-need-to-know-facts-about-showtimes-terror-thriller.html

Homeland Spoilers: A Friend Turns Foe

How is Carrie’s rehabilitation? What’s going on with Saul? What’s up with Brody, his wife and his political career? Those are just a few of the questions Homeland executive producer Alex Gansa says will be addressed when his thrilling drama kicks off season two on September 30. What else can fans look forward to? You can read Gansa's full interview at TV Line, but among the highlights: There will be a six-month time jump. Carrie will be in a new state of "mental health" and back on the trail of Abu Nazir, but not associated with the CIA in any way following her season one breakdown. Mike will be a "major factor" in Brody's life, but not his personal life this time. Says Gansa: "Since he’s in military intelligence, he is going to get a hold of the commission report on the assassination attempt against the vice president, and there’s going to be a bunch of stuff in there that doesn’t make sense to him." Jamey Sheridan, as Vice President Walden, and Navid Nagahban, as Abu Nazir, have received series regular promotions , with Gansa teasing the latter will "factor in a major way this year," perhaps beyond flashback or video appearances. http://www.tvfanatic.com/2012/04/homeland-spoilers-a-friend-turns-foe/
