I really enjoyed this show. It reached a part of me that most shows don't do for me. I will miss it.

This show is perfect if you like a mixture of costume drama, humour, `historical bromance', supernatural themes, intrique or just something for a cosy evening of watching television without having to think too hard. The two lead actors are superb in their roles and I love their friendship and rivalry. The scripts make good use of these historical figures: bringing out their strengths, flaws and emotions which Stephen Mangan and Michael Weston are brilliant at portraying. My only complaint is the season was far too short. I would like to see many more seasons of `Houdini and Doyle' on screen and hope that there is (at least!) a Season 2 in the works. I miss not having a new episode to watch and will be buying the DVD.
