With Boy Crazy Stacey on the rocks, poverty-stricken Nash accepts a job as mailboy for Jasper’s employers, Bourke and Laing Insurance. He immediately loathes the job, despite the support of the mailroom boss Gary, who gets a bit of a vicarious thrill from having a rock star under his tutelage. Meanwhile, Luke has moved out and found some construction work, Comet seems to be making of go of things with Cara and Nash and Jane are resuming life as a couple as she tries to help him kick start his solo career. Everyone seems to be moving on, but when Nash gets jealous of Jasper and Luke attending a Little Ponies gig without him, he finds a reason to crash the party. Later, overhearing Cara and Comet trashing Boy Crazy Stacey, he finally has the blow-out with Cara that’s been looming for months. It’s clear Nash is taking the break-up of his band harder than he’s letting on. To complicate things even further, a YouTube video starts doing the rounds at work – it’s the film clip for ‘Catch and Kiss’, edited to make Nash look particularly foolish. Realising it could only be the work of Val, Nash confronts his ex-guitarist only for him to suggest that this is just the publicity Boy Crazy Stacey needs to make a comeback. As life with Jane becomes increasingly domesticated and the difficulties of going solo start hitting home, Nash finds himself tempted by Val’s words. But even as the siren song of band life calls to Nash again, is it already too late to ask his brother, his mate and his dream girl to live the dream with him again?
