What is the matter with Syfy?!?! How can they be so stupid... okay a rhetorical question. They cancel excellent shows all the time. Maybe the bugs from Brain Dead got to them.

I'm sorry, this just really makes me mad!!!!! Actually, if I said what I really feel and mean about this I'd get booted off SideReel. I don't use profanity here... but I've had to edit myself, you have no idea! Aahhh, how I hate those who made this decision.

OMG, NO WAY!!! god damn it SyFy.. this show was amazing. I bet it's probably down to production costs as well as not so great ratings, shame.. this has really made me annoyed today.

this is a completely non-sense, dunno maybe was too much expensive ? to much SFX ? do not think that actors are so demanding... oh well, another good show gone

Oh come on Syfy, this show was really good! What a bummer. I guess ratings were low? I can't imagine the budget being THAT high compared to other Syfy shows like The Expanse or Killjoys...

I was just wondering how long will it take a corporation to figure out they're showing too much truth and an apocalyptic vision of the future with themselves as the main villain. Didn't take long - I was hoping for at least 1 more season. Back in the days shows about religion, cruelty or racism were being squashed. Nowdays - as those have become our reality - it seems we will be seeing another side of censorship - all hail the corporations ;>

I too wondered if cost was a factor. Could it be picked up elsewhere? Who knows but yet another one bites the dust. SMH.

The ratings were slightly lower than other Syfy series like The Expanse, Killjoys and Dark Matter - but only by like 5-10%.
It must have been a cost thing. Syfy was buying the series from CBS studios and they must not have gotten a great deal on it because they decided it wasn't worth it for a second season. I'm not terribly broken up. I liked many aspects of the show, but I disliked as many. For one thing, the series lacked direction - where were they going with anything? why was an entire episode dedicated to a flashback that didn't further the plot and we already knew about? They kept having episodes that didn't add the the overall story arc, and while the last 3 episodes were excellent, I was considering abandoning the show throughout the entire season. Not to mention, it was very very dark for a cable series and I really could've done without a lot of the sexual violence themes. Thats just me.

Anyhoo -- I hope Allison Miller finds a new show soon. She's a perfect girly :D

Does Netflix know about this? I think someone needs to tell them to incorporate this (couldn't resist) into their existing cache of worthwhile television.

Interesting show, and I watched it all, but I wasn't holding out much hope for renewal. As for ratings, a quick glance showed Killjoys and Dark Matter at around 1200K and 1400K total viewers, while Incorporated was around 860K. (Those are "DVR" or "Live+7" (7 days) numbers. I didn't see any actual DVR "ratings" in my quick searches.)

Makes sense.

It was a bit nothingy, plot-wise.

Like, it looked cool. It was a great concept for a story. It was well acted, the world was well realised and it was well-written.

But the overall plot was a bit shit and lacklustre. I kinda got the impression they were gearing up for something awesome in series 2, about The Resistance or whatever, but I guess we'll never know.

I think they stretched the whole thing too thin, so they could have season after season. The whole plot of the first season could've fit in three episodes.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

At the end of the last episode when it turns out Elena was actually recruited by the Resistance to be a spy in the prostitute farm, rather than someone desperate that needed saving, was pretty cool. But it should have been the end of episode 4, not episode 12 or whatever. It's like they bought an amazing cheeseburger and then spent an hour chewing the lettuce. Disappointing.

What a surprise! No, not really. Everything good appears to wither on the vine. This was too close to a potential reality for comfort. I love SF, I am truely grateful for any show that likes to explore possibilities. The scriptwriters were probably not being given enough rope to run with it. Artistic integrity is the first to suffer in such climes as we have to suffer today. In fact, SF is usually the first to be culled. When looking at the shows that are being renewed, I am honestly disgusted at what is allowed to be continued and what isn't; but then again this is no surprise considering. I am an avid viewer, but everything that gets cut too early is preventing me from becoming engaged in anything new. My favourite storyline was Farscape and that certainly has not earned the respect it
most truely deserved. We need a renaissance and some farseers to help else get over this bump with big pockets.

All in all thought the show was really creative. Loved the lady doctor, who was kidnapped and still cant deal with it. Show still had so much to offer and great take on how corporations can rule. With King Trump, maybe the show got too close to reality, but major disappointment by SYFY, usually they run shows longer than should not shorter.

Mistake after mistake after mistake. Even if this show cost more than they would have liked. They needed to promote the show more. Syfy is never going to get over the hump of mediocrity until they change decision makers.

I liked it, but also not surprised. I hope I see the actors elsewhere. I didn't really like Ben, but the actor seems interesting. And Laura was my favorite part about the show! Why can't she get a show with more than 1 season! (RIP Go On & Terra Nova.)
