"Doc" features filmmaker Immy Humes' profile of her father, Harold L. Humes (1926-92), who cofounded the Paris Review and wrote two acclaimed novels during the 1950s, managed Norman Mailer's 1961 NYC mayoral bid and drifted into mental illness following a 1965 LSD experience.
