Kurusu rescues Ayame, just as the Kabane appear in the woods surrounding the Kotetsujo, and everyone gets back onboard. Still fearful of the Kabaneri, the Six Chiefs, led by Akoji, has Ayame hand over the Kotetsujo's master key.
