One of the few success stories for the broadcast networks this year, the show has averaged 11 million weekly viewers (across platforms).

wasn't a major fan of the films after revisiting them a week or so ago, man.. they are so cheesy and the car chase at the beginning of the second film.. 10 MINUTES LONG! *cough* any hows.. GREAT news for the tv adaption, I love this show.. and i'm STILL waiting for them to do the bomb under the toilet seat gag! they have too in season 2.. LMAO!

I watched the Movies back when they came out and enjoyed them. But I gotta be honest: I didn't believe a TV Show would ever be good enough. I watched the first Episode with some mixed feelings and have to say it was ok. Now I look forward to each new Episode with Riggs and Murtaugh. The only tiny annoying thing: Riggs can slowly stop wanting to die now. Seriously, enough is enough.

I've watched a few episodes and really enjoyed them, still waiting for time when I can binge watch. Until then, I'm very glad to know this show has been renewed and has such high ratings! It's got a great platform to build from, the movies were great, the relationship of Riggs and Murtaugh is well established, all of the recurring characters are well-rounded and if they can keep inventing new action spectacles for us to enjoy, let's all keep watching! Yay!

@Sylar Dean Paginton - oh noes. Are the movies cheesy, now? Damn. I haven't seen them since I was a kid, my cousins and I would sit and watch them over and over on the brand new VHS tape recorder (those were the days!). :D I'll avoid them when they next come back on tv. I'd rather remember them fondly and just enjoy this new show and all the up to date action. That said, the toilet seat gag is a *must!*

@Jay Spectre - I agree, it would be nice to see Riggs happy and not always so grief-stricken. One of the most impressive things in the pilot, imo, was the depth of his acting (he's not an actor I recognize from other shows) so I was thrilled that Riggs was being played by someone so good. Season 2, he needs to get a gf, and not have her be killed or abducted, etc. :D

I have to say I was spectical about this at first. I grew up watching the films so in my mind I was thinking nobody could ever have a connections like in the films.

However! I binge watched the first two episodes very late Saturday night- and I could not stop laughing. The chemistry between the two works in their own right- and I do think you could tell they get along very well whilst on set. Just a feeling. I'm now binge watching the rest on a wet Sunday afternoon- and I love it. It's funny, it's refreshing and very enjoyable. Just a shame Sky didn't pick it up instead of ITV. Bring on season 2!

Oh, to add even more comedy we need a Joe Pesci character. *chuckles at memory*
