The two-part, post-watershed serial centers on two police officers based in a Grassmarket police station, where they struggle in a world of greed, murder and corruption. Written by Edinburgh-born Simon Donald, Low Winter Sun was filmed in the city over seven weeks and includes footage of Edinburgh Castle, Salisbury Crags and the Forth Bridges.
