The series is centered around a Miami hotel of the 60's. Set in 1959 Miami, Florida shortly after the Cuban Revolution, Magic City tells the story of Ike Evans (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the owner of Miami's most glamorous hotel, the Miramar Playa. Evans is forced to make an ill-fated deal with Miami mob boss Ben Diamond (Danny Huston) to ensure the success of his glitzy establishment.

Not much to add but the fact that as the shows were airing, they were on my list of top 5 to watch first, every week. Even wish some series running more seasons than I normally think should be avg. for a show, but I still find myself wanting the shows to comeback.
The best shows based on my personal preference from Directing to Acting to Story line.
