Brothers & Sisters - Nora Walker Nora Walker definitely deserves some sort of prize for being the most patient, understanding mother on the planet. Raising her own five, somewhat high maintenance (and did I mention all completely grown up) children is just the tip of the iceberg for our dear Nora. Besides her own kids, Nora welcomes one bastard child after another - courtesy of her cheating dead husband - into the family and treats them like one of her own (ok, so in the end it was just one, Ryan...but you get my drift, as she did the whole welcoming bit with Rebecca first, though in the end Rebecca ending up not being her husband's offspring). Malcolm in the Middle - Lois Mothers parent in different ways, but when you have the crop of children that Lois had on Malcolm in the Middle , sometimes there's only one tactic that works: fear. Lois rivals the scariest mothers ever witnessed on television, but she also was one of the funniest. What's more - she parented the somewhat loud and crazy way that she did out of love, and the end, her children didn't turn out half bad! Arrested Development - Lucille Bluth We titled this article "Favorite TV Moms"...so keep in mind that this is different than "Best", as there is no doubt that Lucille Bluth is in fact one of the worst TV moms of all time. That being said, she was also arguably the funniest. When all of your children are lunatics, sometimes there's only one way to turn: alcohol (and maybe some prescription drug abuse as well). Lucille Bluth was probably inebriated 99% of the time, which resulted in her being brutally honest and emotionally abusive towards all of her children. Cruel as she was though, you have to admit Lucille Bluth was a hoot! Desperate Housewives - Lynette Scavo Lynette Scavo has always been my favorite housewife (though she isn't really a housewife at all, is she?) on Wisteria Lane. Though never really touted as one of the beautiful ones (like Gabby or Edie)...Lynette has it all - beauty, brains, drive...and an unquestioning love for her family. Though she's been known to be manipulative at times, and has even done things that are morally questionable (like impersonating a girl online when interacting with her own son), she always acts with good intentions. Furthermore, most of the time she's right anyway (especially when dealing with her man-child of a husband)! One Tree Hill - Haley James Scott If ever there was an example of a high school pregnancy that turns out well (because let's not forget that Haley James Scott became pregnant as a high school senior, and gave birth on high school graduation day to little Jamie Scott), the one of Haley and Nathan Scott is your winner. Though getting married and pregnant at a very young age, Haley James Scott has turned out to be one of the best mothers on television! Both her and her husband seem to be very grounded parents, and they focus on important things in their son's life, such as education and teaching strong values. Overall, they've raised a terrific kid...and it all started when they were around 18 years old! So...who are your favorite mothers on television?
