Another week in the MasterChef kitchen began with a Mystery Box Challenge. Lifting the lids to reveal all the ingredients to produce a plethora of sweet treats, contestants heard their task: to create some beautiful biscuits. Amina, Ben and Julia were selected as the best performers, with Julia taking the overall win for her incredible Melting Moments. Julia won the power to select the core ingredient for a Mexican-themed Invention Test, choosing cactus, much to her fellow contestants’ horror. Mindy again won the right to cook for Immunity, wowing the judges with her Jalapeno Poppers. Alice and Dalvinda were runners-up. Andrew, Kath and Julia, meanwhile, failed to impress and would face a Pressure Test.
