News for Medium

Tonight's TV Hot List: Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 - Featured

* Monk (9/8c USA Network ) With only three episodes left in the series, Mr. Monk becomes Detective Monk (again) when he's finally reinstated on the police force. The news is certainly welcome, but his celebrations don't last long. He starts off on the job by tracking a serial killer, but the case proves more difficult than he thought it would be. Tony Shalhoub's wife, Brooke Adams, guest-stars in tonight's episode. * Medium (9/8c CBS) The future's so bright, Allison's got to wear shades. But she's also blinded by the light, as a strange sensitivity to brightness affects her eyes and forces her to don sunglasses. She can see clearly now - perhaps too clearly: The shades bring into view mysterious numbers that might give her the ability to know people's life expectancies. Allison's paranormal visions also focus on Joe's father (Bruce Gray), a development that inspires Joe to take on a healthier lifestyle. * Larry the Cable Guy's Hula-Palooza Christmas Luau (9/8c CMT) Nothing says Christmas like a luau, which is why Larry the Cable Guy is back to Git-R-Done with this holiday special, set on the fictional island of Hula-Poola. Billy Currington and the Zac Brown Band provide musical entertainment. Comedians Reno Collier, Jon Reep, Peter Oldring and Sara Erikson perform in sketches. Also appearing are Kenan Thompson, Caroline Rhea, George Lindsey, Two Foot Fred, Tony Orlando and Angela Little MacKenzie. * Happily Ever Faster (10/9c TLC ) Each year, more than 5000 couples tie the knot at the Chapel of the Flowers in downtown Las Vegas. The weddings range from utterly romantic to downright zany, and this new unscripted series captures events that fall on both sides of the spectrum, starting with one that definitely falls into the latter category. In the premiere, chapel planner Melody has her hands full when she works with a pair of Trekkies who want her to track down William Shatner (aka Capt. Kirk) and convince him to serve as best man at their themed nuptials. * 20/20 (10/9c ABC) Sarah Palin took Going Rogue, the title of her new memoir, from a negative remark a McCain aide made about her last year. Turnabout is fair play, and when she sits down with Barbara Walters tonight, America's most famous "hockey mom" might very well fire a puck or two at the campaign staffers who disparaged her. Of course, Walters is also likely to ask the former Alaska governor about death panels, Levi Johnston (her grandson's dad) and her grasp of foreign affairs, so expect the proceedings to be lively. But soon a corrupt news producer who's embedded in the area catches their attention and could possibly lead them to the missing artifacts. * Smallville (8/7c The CW ) Clark is in trouble and ready to confess all, but it's not really his fault. He has two wonderful twin helpers to blame. The shape shifting-brother-sister duo Zan (David Gallagher) and Jayna (Allison Scagliotti) have made their way to Metropolis. We then switch gears to middle daughter Bridgette, who gets in hot water after posting disconcerting videos of a man on the Internet. David Arquette, brother of series star Patricia Arquette, directed the episode. * Law & Order (8/7c NBC) After a witness in a murder trial is shot to death outside of her hotel, Lupo and Bernard trace the killer's trail back to a used-car exporter.
