CBS cuts 'SH*! My Dad Says,' 'Mad Love,' 'The Defenders'

CBS opened up some space in its primetime lineup by axing three shows -- all of which were new to the 2010-2011 slate. Gone are the William Shatner-fronted, Twitter-inspired "SH*! My Dad Says,"the Jason Biggs/Judy Greer comedy "Mad Love" and "The Defenders," which paired Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell as two Las Vegas lawyers. On Friday, CBS added two shows to its fall lineup: the drama "Person of Interest" (starring "Lost's" Michael Emerson) and the comedy "Two Broke Girls."... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/cbs-cuts-sh-my-dad-says-mad-love-the-defenders.html

'CSI:NY,' '$#*! My Dad Says,' 'Mad Love': Keep 'em or kill 'em?

When it comes time to put together a schedule for the 2011-12 season, CBS will once again have the high-class problem of having to cut a couple of decently rated shows in order to make room for new series. The network's health is such that it can let go of shows (think "Ghost Whisperer" and "Without a Trace" in the past couple of seasons) with ratings that other networks would be glad to have. It's likely going to happen again this year, which means that fans of shows like "CSI: NY" and "$#*! My Dad Says" might have some reason to sweat.("The Good Wife's" ratings have also dipped some this year, but our feeling is that as a younger show that's also attractive Emmy bait, it's safer than some others on this list.)So as Bubble Watch 2011 continues, we ask you: Which of these shows would you keep, and which would you send packing? Vote... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/csiny-my-dad-says-mad-love-keep-em-or-kill-em.html

$#*! My Dad Says: Interview with Justin Halpren and Patrick Schumacker

Over the past few months I got the opportunity to review the show $#*! My Dad Says. With its first season completed, many fans are wondering what season two will be about, or even if there will be a second season at all. With the latter being still up in the air at the moment, we fans have time to just sit back and reminisce about the past season. I used my time off from $#*! My Dad Says to not only do that but to also speak with the two creators of the show, Justin Halpren and Patrick Schumacker. Here is what went down. Camille Grammer Plays 'Real Divorcée' On '$#*! My Dad Says' (WATCH)

Camille Grammer made her scripted television debut last night on the CBS show '$#*! My Dad Says,' where she guest starred as, well, herself. "My character Camille is a basically a parody on myself, obviously, from Housewives of Beverly Hills ," she told TV Squad. "Just making fun of it, you know, making fun of all the quirky things I do and say." Her divorce from Kelsey Grammer was finalized last week, though their financial settlement has not yet been determined. Kelsey plans to remarry British flight attendant Kayte Walsh in as little as two weeks. "I don't want to be involved with the wedding, not at all. But I don't begrudge him his happiness," she told People yesterday. She plans to spend Kelsey's wedding night at her daughter Mason's talent show. '$#*! My Dad Says' finale: 'Real Housewives' Camille Grammer on playing herself, but sweeter

Camille Grammer is embarking on a new chapeter in life. She's currently single again, negotiating her possible return to Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," and now she's taking on scripted TV when she guest stars in Thursday's (Feb. 17) season finale of the CBS comedy, "$#*! My Dad Says." "I hope people like it," Grammer tells Zap2it when we ask what fans will think of the role. "Hey, I didn't know what they would think of me on 'Housewives' either [laughs]. I didn't even know what would happen with 'Housewives.' Believe me, it was a shocker. Like, whoa! What's going on here?"She'll be playing well, Camille, a San Diego 'Real Housewife' and divorcee who's looking for a new home for her and her children with Bonnie (Nicole Sullivan) and Vince's (Will Sasso) help. It's a role that Grammer herself says hits very close to home for her, but she enjoyed lampooning herself."It felt great," she says.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/02/-my-dad-says-finale-camille-grammer-on-playing-herself-but-sweeter.html
