I'm not going to lie: I used to eat Play-Doh as a kid. Nowadays, however, my strangest addiction is probably watching new episodes of My Strange Addiction . Here's a brand-new clip from the upcoming sixth season that will hopefully help you better understand why this show is worth watching (if you didn't know already): New episodes of My Strange Addiction kick off on January 7th on TLC.
Toby probably doesn’t care that Justin Bieber’s latest exploits has sullied his role model status. The 33-year-old has spent more than $100,000 to look like the pop star. On Wednesday’s season finale of TLC’s “My Strange Addition, Toby lists the many cosmetic procedures he has undergone to look like Bieber, including hair transplants, injections and eye and chin operations, among other things. TLC’s “My Strange Addiction” constantly amazes me with its episodes about people whose obsession extends to consuming things that just don’t fall into any of the food groups. Wednesday’s episode is one of those times. It follows 23-year-old Robert, who can eat up to 16 plastic bags every week. His worried fiancé tries to get him to stop and encourages him to eat actual food, but this guy is really far-gone. "My Strange Addiction" has built a reputation for itself since debuting in 2010 and has worked to constantly top itself in finding those with bizarre behaviors. That's where Keyshia comes into the picture. The 22-year-old is addicted to chewing on and smelling dirty diapers. She keeps her cupboards, drawers and purse filled with urine-soaked diapers to make sure there's always one close by to satisfy her craving.Where does she get them? Luckily for Keyshia, she has an understanding friend named Kim with twins."It's very annoying because she doesn't care what time it is," Kim says. "She'll wake my baby up to take the diaper that's on the baby.""My addiction to diapers started about three years ago," Keyshia admits. "One of my friends was changing her baby and she gave me the diaper to throw out and I kept it for like a week and smelled it every morning." Since then, Keyshia has had over 25,000 diapers... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/my-strange-addiction-sneak-peek-keyshia-eats-dirty-diapers.html
TLC puts quite a variety of reality TV shows on the air. One of the weirdest is definitely "My Strange Addiction," which, by definition, features some rather unusual habits. On Wednesday's episode (March 20), we meet Michelle, 29, who is a connoisseur of human blood. "I drink human blood as much as I can. Everybody has their own flavor, their own taste," says Michelle. "There is definitely a difference between drinking a man's blood and a female's blood. A man's blood, to me, has always been thicker in some way."Michelle also says that she doesn't drink blood from just anybody."I always make sure it's from somebody that I'm close to, somebody that I would consider a best friend, a partner, a lover. Somebody that I know inside and out," says Michelle. The partner in question in this episode is Johnny, a friend of Michelle's for a couple of years. Johnny says the pain doesn't really bother... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/03/my-strange-addiction-meet-michelle-the-human-blood-drinker.html
File this under extremely disturbing: The season finale of TLC's "My Strange Addiction" features 53-year-old Carrie, who has taken to not only drinking most of the urine she expels on a daily basis, but also using it as a sort of catch-all salve for all of her health issues. She uses it in her neti-pot, in her eyeballs (not sure how that works, we were too busy dry-heaving to hear) and sips it out of a glass like apple juice. Sorry, we just ruined apple juice for you for a significant amount of time. You know what they say -- misery loves company. If we have to know it, you do too. We can all cry in the fetal position together.Check out a clip of the show, which airs Sunday, March 18 at 10 p.m. on TLC. In case you'd like some more background information about Carrie's urine addiction, TLC says, "She drinks about 80 ounces... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/03/my-strange-addiction-carrie-drinks-her-own-urine-ewww.html
TLC's 'My Strange Addiction' isn't for the faint of heart (or stomach), but this week's episode features a particularly stomach-churning addiction. Meet Divya, a 28-year-old obsessed with taxidermied animals. An odd (and slightly creepy) obsession, but not completely out of the ordinary. But her addiction goes one step further -- she likes to scavenge the dead animal carcasses herself. Think: parks, on the side of the road, etc. Pardon me for judging, but EW. Watch Divya in action in AOL TV's exclusive preview clip below. 'My Strange Addiction' airs Sun., July 31 at 10PM ET. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/07/29/exclusive-my-strange-addiction-preview-taxidermy/
