TV ratings: 'Intelligence' premieres big; 'Killer Women' not so much

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2013Tuesday night TV was back this week with a nearly full slate of new shows, including a couple series premieres. "Intelligence" debuted to 16.6 million viewers, which is up a million viewers from the last new "NCIS: Los Angeles" episode. However, starting Jan. 13, the new Marg Helgenberger drama moves to its regular time, Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT, where its lead-in will be the CBS' comedy block instead of "NCIS," so it remains to be seen how "Intelligence" fares without the lead-in from the biggest show on TV.In other premieres, "Killer Women" debuted to 3.9 million viewers, which is not good. It's up slightly from the new "What Would You Do" episodes before the holidays and also the last new "Lucky 7" episode. But it's not an auspicious start for the new Texas Rangers crime show.A new "NCIS" propelled CBS to a ratings with, with an... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/tv-ratings-intelligence-premieres-big-killer-women-not-so-much.html

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013The finale of "The Voice" scored the show's best Tuesday ratings in close to two months, but it fell well short of both of last season's finales. 'NCIS: LA': Go behind the scenes of 'The Frozen Lake' knife fight

Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J play badass federal agents on "NCIS: Los Angeles," but that bravery isn't just a front they put on for TV. Both men frequently perform their own stunts on the show, and during Tuesday's (Nov. 26) episode of the CBS hit, "The Frozen Lake," they both trained for a particularly complicated fight scene. Zap2it has an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the process. "NCIS: LA" creator Shane Brennan tells Zap2it via email that O'Donnell and LL Cool J found out about the "Frozen Lake" sequence, which occurs when their characters enlist the help of a Gurkha, an elite Nepali soldier specializing in knife fighting, to retrieve a missing thumb drive, a week before shooting. "Like all of the stunts on 'NCIS: Los Angeles,' this sequence was painstakingly planned down to the last detail by the writer, the director and the stunt coordinator," Brennan says. "Key to the fight choreography was Rafael... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/11/ncis-los-angeles-go-behind-the-scenes-of-the-frozen-lake-knife-fight.html
