Pauley Perrette has signed a new multi-year deal for NCIS, CBS said. The 41-year-old actress was one of five of cast members who had yet to sign a new contract for the CBS procedural. Since negotiations began, Rocky Carroll and David McCallum have also inked deals, while Sean Murray and Michael Weatherly are still negotiating, according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported Perrette's deal. On Tuesday's NCIS (8/7c on CBS), Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) takes a rare trip outside her lab, and her visit to Mexico could mean trouble for Gibbs (Mark Harmon). Abby is invited to speak at a symposium in Mexico about cold-case forensics, using real evidence from old cases. "Abby is in Mexico simply to teach, but she does make some cold-case discoveries while she's there," Perrette tells TVGuide.com. Michael Weatherly is all but certain he's coming back for an eighth season of NCIS, which is certainly terrific news for fans of Tiva or just DiNozzo's wisecracking. Amid contract negotiations, the actor tells TV Guide Magazine exclusively that he's "extremely optimistic" he'll return to CBS' top-rated drama NCIS next season. "I'm very excited to come back," says Weatherly. "I have the best job on television and the best character. NCIS returned from its spring break this week, bit when it comes to Abby, we're just getting started. Pauley Perrette is excited about the season-ending episodes to come. "I don't know exactly what all the details are, but they basically told me, get your rest, because there's going to be a lot of Abby stuff coming up for May," the actress said. NCIS is back tomorrow night following a three-week layoff with the first of five new episodes to finish off the seventh season. Here's a preview of the first one, "Moonlighting."
