New Girl Reviews & Ratings

Tuesdays, 8:00 PM ET on FOX

30 minutes

A new single-camera comedy from Liz Meriwether ("No Strings Attached") that features a young ensemble cast and takes a fresh and outrageous look at modern male/female relationships. Jess Day is an offbeat and adorable girl in her late 20s who, after a bad breakup, moves in with three single guys. Goofy, positive, vulnerable and honest to a fault, Jess has faith in people, even when she shouldn't. Although she's dorky and awkward, she's comfortable in her own skin.

I still think they need to give a "better" closure for Coach. Beside, before Ally the only one who seem to get Winston is Coach. I still think Winston is always left out and he's the funniest and quirkiest one in my opinion.

I actually loved season 1, I would put just that season near the top of my lists with a 5 star rating. But as the seasons went on the stories got less interesting and very repetitive. It got old so fast and the jokes grew boring. As much as I love Deschanel, I couldn't bring myself to keep watching this. Gave up around season 4, and probably won't pick it back up again.

"The other day I was at a restaurant and they asked if I wanted avocado and I said yeah and they said it's extra and I said sshshh I know it's extra, but, but I want it" - Nick Miller.

I gave this show a 5 stars a while ago but I just switched to a 4. The problem with this show is Winston. He is sooo pointless. I mean y is he still on this show? He provides nothing to it. Love everyone else but that is my only issue.

So this show perplexes me. I always watch it, but I end up putting it off for a while, and then binge watch until I'm disappointed that I have no more to watch. The thing is, I don't really care about the plot of the show. What I like are the individual characters. I could not care less about what ridiculous thing the gang is up to today, but I love the anecdotes and hilarious quips that are thrown out there along the way. Winston and Schmidt are my favorite. Jess I find annoying. Nick used to be funny, until he devolved into a lazy idiot, and now in more recent episodes he seems to be improving. Cece I could take or leave. Ferguson is a national treasure. If you like shows that you don't care about remembering, except for maybe an awesome one-liner to use later, this would be a good one.
