Sophia Bush donates 'One Tree Hill' wardrobe items for I Am That Girl auction

Our major girl crush on "One Tree Hill's" Brooke Davis is well-documented, so it should go without saying that we think her portrayer, Sophia Bush, is pretty excellent, too. Like Brooke, Sophia has long been a champion for empowered women -- and though she's about to start filming her new show, "Partners," she and Brooke joined forces one last time to help an organization that aspires to encourage young women to use their voices. When we spoke with Sophia earlier this year, she joked that she one day wanted to sneak into Warner Bros. and raid Brooke Davis' wardrobe. Though she didn't have to resort to a life of crime, she did manage to pilfer some favorite outfits -- for a very good cause.Bush pulled out some of her favorite B. Davis fashions to donate to I Am That Girl through Closets for Causes. The lingerie Brooke wore for Julian, the dress she wore when Lucas... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/06/sophia-bush-donates-one-tree-hill-wardrobe-items-for-i-am-that-girl-auction.html

One Tree Hill Creator Mark Schwahn Shares the Series Ending That Never Happened

Although One Tree Hill 's series finale ended with the emotions creator Mark Schwahn always imagined, it didn't involve the characters he initially pictured. "In my mind, when the show first started, we probably would've ended up in the series finale with a Karen-Keith-Lucas scenario and they would've become the family they never were," Schwahn told TVGuide.com at the inaugural ATX Television Festival. "Tonally it never changed for me. I always knew where I wanted to leave the show. I wanted it to be something that the fans invested since Day 1 felt like was speaking to them." http://www.tvguide.com/News/Tree-Hill-Finale-1048618.aspx?rss=breakingnews

CMT Awards 2012: 'One Tree Hill's' Jana Kramer and 'American Idol's' Casey James play us out

No, you're not seeing things! That was Jana Kramer, best known as troubled model/actress/screenwriter/singer/songwriter Alex Dupre from "One Tree Hill," performing at the CMT Awards on Wednesday night. Kramer's character left Tree Hill early in the show's final season, leaving behind her boyfriend to pursue a country music career. In a case of art-imitating-life-imitating-art, Kramer herself hit the tour circuit, too. Her debut album was released on Tuesday, and fans got a little listen at the CMT Awards as she played the show into a commercial with her single "Why Ya Wanna," which, of course, "One Tree Hill" fans are already familiar with. Kramer isn't the only emerging artist who played an abbreviated version of a new song as the show lead into a commercial break. "American Idol" fans likely recognized Casey James as the third place finalist from Season 9. He played his song "Crying On a Suitcase" from his debut album, which was... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/06/cmt-awards-2012-one-tree-hills-jana-kramer-and-american-idols-casey-james-play-us-out.html

'One Tree Hill': Mark Schwahn talks Rachel's future, plus that other unanswered question

"One Tree Hill" ended almost two months ago, but we're still not really over it. This weekend, Zap2it attended the ATX Festival, a weekend-long celebration of all things television in Austin, Texas. While we managed to resist presenting executive producer Mark Schwahn with a mason jar filled with our finale tears, we couldn't help but ask him about a few of the show's loose ends. One of our favorite secondary characters of the series, Rachel (Danneel Ackles), wasn't mentioned in the final season, despite her significant contribution to the Tree Hill mythology. Though she did go through an unfortunate junkie phase, Schwahn tells us that in his mind, Rachel landed on her feet. "Rachel's obviously fine," Schwahn promises. "She's always going to be fine. She's very crafty, and yet, she has a good heart and she's in great shape." In fact, had things ended differently for Dan Scott, we may have seen more of Rachel in... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/06/one-tree-hill-mark-schwahn-talks-rachels-future-plus-that-other-unanswered-question.html

'One Tree Hill' Finale Brings Tears, Happiness And A Look Back

It was the end of an era on The CW as " One Tree Hill " (Wed., 8 p.m. ET on The CW) closed out a nine year run for the network. The show's even older than the network, having premiered on The WB back in 2003, three years before the UPN-WB merger that created The CW. For the finale, the show harkened back to those WB years with several trips down memory lane as Brooke, Haley and Nathan not only reflected back on their high school days, but actually interacted with their younger selves thanks to some fancy trick editing. It was an effective and emotional use of technology, and a beautiful way to reward long-time fans with a look at how far each of them have come. While everyone got their happy ending, the hour ended with an additional treat by giving fans a peek forward to show that happiness continued to follow them into their future lives as well. It was a sweet gesture and well deserved for all of them, considering how how much they've had to endure the past nine years -- thirteen for the characters. They deserve happiness now. One Tree Hill Comes Full Circle and Says Goodbye

Shows come and go, but every once in a while there's one that sticks with you -- and sometimes you 're not even sure why. In 2003, a little show called One Tree Hill debuted, attempting to fill my deep void from the loss of my beloved Dawson's Creek . From the moment I was introduced to Brooke, Peyton, Lucas and Haley (Nathan had to grow on me), I knew I had made lifelong connections to each of these characters. http://www.tvguide.com/News/One-Tree-Hill-Finale-1045614.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'One Tree Hill': Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz, James Lafferty, and castmates make their next career moves

Tonight we say goodbye to "One Tree Hill" after nine years on the air, but the cast and crew said goodbye in mid-November when picture wrapped on the 187th episode in Wilmington, NC. Now, over four months later, creator Mark Schwahn and the cast we've come to think of as friends have moved on to new projects. We realize that emotions are still raw right now, but when you're ready -- here's where you can find those familiar faces.Mark Schwahn: Schwahn is currently back in North Carolina overseeing production on his pilot, "Shelter," which is a contender for The CW's Fall 2012 schedule. The pilot, which he's executive producing with J.J. Abrams, will certainly appeal to "One Tree Hill" fans -- it's an old-school WB feel, an undeniable earnestness, and the same themes of hope and friendship that we saw on OTH. James Lafferty: "I'm waiting for a new film that I did to come out,"... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/one-tree-hill-sophia-bush-bethany-joy-lenz-james-lafferty-and-castmates-make-their-next-career-moves.html
