Maria shows nerves of steel as she edges her way into a ring of car thieves who specialise in brutality and luxury vehicles. During the play, she risks her safety and that of her colleagues by trusting Jake, one of the gang members, with her true identity. However, she is not nearly as brave in her private romantic life.
