Continuing their journey, Ash and friends come across a huge Pokémon Center that is opening up. They decide to check it out . While inside they find out an authorized Pokémon Connaisseuse is giving out readings for the day. Another Connaisseuse gives Ash a reading but tells him that all his Pokémon are horrible and they should be replaced. This upsets Ash who leaves. This attracts the attention of Iris and Cilan as well. The Connaisseuse, whose name is Burgundy, sees Cilan and is immediately upset at him. She previously battled Cilan at the Striaton Gym and lost and now wants revenge, thinking he told her she was horrible. Cilan agrees to battle her.
