With the Junior Cup starting soon, Ash and Dawn are having a battle. As the battle ends in a draw, Jervis arrives and introduces everyone to a boy named Chris who lives nearby. Chris reveals that his beloved Cubchoo went missing the previous night and he can't find it anywhere. This excites Cilan, who immediately jumps into detective mode and is determined to find the missing Cubchoo. Meanwhile, Team Rocket scan the ocean floor in preparation of their new mission.
