The Most Important Shows on TV: Week of October 13, 2014

Which TV series will your friends (and the entire internet) be talking about this week? Stay informed—or at least be able to fake it—with SideReel's weekly guide to The Most Important Shows on TV.   Arrow Wednesday at 8:00pm on The CW Why: Because this episode is called "Sarah" and well, I'm not going to spoil anything for you but there's no doubt it will be INTENSE AS F***.  Prepare to talk about: Who, what, and why (but not how and when, because we saw that last week); how Oliver's combat hoodie manages to hide his identity so completely; whether Oliver and Felicity will ever be together without all that goshdarn crime intervening.     Project Runway Thursday at 9pm on Lifetime Why:  The final four are heading to Rome to pick out fabrics for their Fashion Week collections! ROME! Also, a twist will be announced and the designers will be surprised, though honestly, shouldn't they have figured out by now that there's ALWAYS a twist? Prepare to talk about: Whether Char really deserves to be there (hint: not really, but she  is  super nice); how hippy-dippy Amanda's final collection will be; how Kini will probably have made 57 garments because he's superhuman.     America's Next Top Model Friday at 9pm on The CW Why: Because it's the go-see episode and they have to impress Betsey Johnson (who's slumming it lately, what with  DWTS  and all, so appearing on  ANTM  seems only fitting). Go-see episodes are always kind of the best. Prepare to talk about: How terrible all of their makeovers have been, I mean, seriously, they all look like clowns; how no designer in their right mind should ever pick any of them to walk in a show; how hilariously cartoonish all of the photoshoots have been this season.     Leah E. Friedman  is the editor of SideReel.com. You can follow her musings on  Twitter .

'Project Runway' Season 13: Ranking the Looks of 'Muse on the Street'

In episode ten of Project Runway , the designers had to find a stranger on in Washington Park to be their model/client/muse for a makeover challenge. While on the whole I think the designers had an underwhelming showcase for this challenge, some still did better than others. Here are my rankings from worst to best. As always, leave your opinion in the comments.   Read More... http://www.buddytv.com/slideshows/project-runway-season-13-ranking-the-looks-of-muse-on-the-street-84562.aspx

'Project Runway' Season 13: Ranking the Looks of 'American Girl Doll'

In episode nine of Project Runway , the designers had to use American Girl dolls as inspiration to create a look for a fashionable and modern young girl. This challenge was so much fun and there were a lot of happy girls up on that runway! Here is my ranking of the looks from worst to best. It's that time of year again time to check out the Project Runway finale collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and guess which ones are finalists, which ones are decoys, and who will be named the winner. Project Runway Season 13 is still going strong, with eight designers still left in the running. But on September 5, nine PR designers showed collections at Fashion Week. 'Project Runway' Season 13: Ranking the Looks of 'Priceless Runway'

In episode seven of Project Runway , the designers had to create a look to showcase valuable diamond pieces. While overall there were a lot of good designs, some were hardly worthy of their accompanying bling. Here is my ranking of the looks from worst to best. Is everyone meaner on 'Project Runway' Season 13? Not to Heidi Klum and Zac Posen

When you put 15-plus outsized personalities in close quarters and have them compete against one another, you're guaranteed some conflict -- it's a tried and true reality TV formula. But after a few boring seasons, it appears  "Project Runway"  has gathered the cattiest group of designers in years for Season 13.  There have been villain contestants since the beginning of the show, but have they always been this catty? The current crop of designers hasn't been shy about bad-mouthing their competitors in their confessional interviews, and ganged up on Indian designer Sandhya so much after she unexpectedly won a challenge that they made her cry.    Read More.... http://www.zap2it.com/blogs/project_runway_season_13_lifetime_heidi_klum_zac_posen_interview-2014-09
