James Roday, Steve Franks Promise 'Twin Peaks' Episode Of 'Psych' - Starpulse

"Psych" star James Roday and Executive Producer/Writer Steve Franks promise a "Twin Peaks"-inspired episode of the popular USA comedy. Starpulse just participated in a conference call with them, and they talked about the series' fifth season, which kicks off next week. "Twin Peaks," which became a national phenomenon in 1990, was director David Lynch's brainchild that blended dark comedy and surreal drama. It focused on the small-town murder of high schooler Laura Palmer, and became known for its quirky humor, atmospheric mystery and critical acclaim. It also starred "Desperate Housewives" regular Kyle MacLachlan as hero Special Agent Dale Cooper. To Read More Click Here .

Just the FAQs: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About 'Psych'

When 'Psych' kicks off its fifth season on July 14 (10PM ET), the show officially becomes USA Network's longest-running original series, and to celebrate, the cable network known for its character-driven shows is "super-sizing" the 'Psych' characters into a 66-minute season premiere episode. And that's certainly OK by show creator Steve Franks, who conceived 'Psych' after penning the script for the second best (after 'The Wedding Singer,' of course) Adam Sandler movie ever, 'Big Daddy.' Franks and the entire 'Psych' crew, from stars James Roday, Dule Hill, Corbin Bernsen, Timothy Omundson and Maggie Lawson to the show's pop culture-obsessed writers and production staff, are immensely proud of the series, which has developed an extremely loyal fanbase that awaits every little movie, TV and junk food reference the show can serve up each week. Psych Spoilers: Season Premiere Scoop!

On July 14, Psych returns with new episodes. What can viewers expect from this USA hit's season premiere? Let's find out, courtesy of producer Steve Franks: “Shawn goes deep into a Chinese triad gang war, and shooting the episode was more fun than we should be allowed to have," Franks told Fancast. "I’ve always wanted to do some sort of Jackie Chan-style action and we hit the jackpot here. After that, Shawn won’t have much time to catch his breath as he has fast cars to race and UFO landings to investigate.” TV Fanatic will cover this show in depth - with weekly recaps, reviews, photos and quotes - starting with this premiere. Nestor Carbonell Joins 'Psych' Season Five

Just because Richard Alpert's finally showing age doesn't mean that Nestor Carbonell is. In fact, Carbonell, who appeared in thirty episodes of the acclaimed series LOST (and is even getting a bit of Emmy buzz for his role), is moving right along to other projects. You'll next be able to see Carbonell on USA's Psych. According to Fancast: To Read More Click Here .

Vanessa Minnillo to Guest Star on Psych

Last seen guest-starring on CSI: NY, Vanessa Minnillo has landed a role on Psych. The former MTV VJ will appear on the popular USA series as a character named Gina Walsh. She'll reportedly be a member of a group of street racers, though no details of her episode have been released yet. Earlier this month, we reported that Freddie Prinze Jr. would also show up on the series an old friend of Gus and Shawn. Psych returns with new episodes on July 14. Source Here

Even More White Collar Promos!

I don't know about you, but I am loving these summer crossover promos on USA. It's fun to see your favorite stars (in my case Matt Bomer, sigh...) paired with other some of your other favorites (i.e. Dule Hill on Psych.) I also like the drama/comedy pairing, because it shows you that while different genres, the characters can still blend together! Check them out, you'll find it hilarious White Collar/Psych Crossover

'24' Actor Freddie Prinze Jr. to Appear on 'Psych'

After playing Cole Ortiz on FOX's 24, Freddie Prinze Jr. heads to cable this summer to take on a lighter, and hopefully funnier role. According to Fancast, the 34-year-old actor will be joining the cast of Psych for its fifth season, which kicks off on Wednesday, July 14. Freddie Prinze Jr., who is expected to grace USA Network's police procedural comedy for at least one episode, will be appearing as Dennis, Shawn and Gus' old pal who was once a nerd. And though Dennis is still pretty much a geek, he turns out to be "a mega wealthy one." Interestingly, he also shares Shawn and Gus' interest in extraterrestrial beings. Aside from 24, Freddie Prinze Jr. is credited for his roles on Boston Legal, Freddie, and the I Know What You Did Last Summer film franchise. Source Here

PSYCH Season 5 Premiere - First Look

Take a first look at the season 5 premiere of PSYCH "Feet, Don't Kill Me Now" which airs on Wednesday July 14, 2010 on USA Network (10-11:00 p.m. ET). Show Description: A quick-witted drama, PSYCH stars James Roday ("The Dukes of Hazzard") as young police consultant Shawn Spencer who solves crimes with powers of observation so acute the precinct detectives think he's psychic - at least that's what he lets them believe. The series also stars Dulé Hill ("The West Wing") as Shawn's best friend and reluctant sidekick Gus and Corbin Bernsen ("Kiss Kiss Bang Bang," "L.A. Law") as Shawn's disapproving father, who ironically was the one who honed his son's "observation" skills as a child. Also featured are Timothy Omundson ("Judging Amy," "Deadwood"), Maggie Lawson ("Crumbs," "Inside Schwartz") and Kirsten Nelson ("Everwood"). Source & Preview
