TV ratings: World Series tops Wednesday, 'CSI' up with 300th episode

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013The opening game of the World Series scored solid ratings for FOX, improving significantly on last year's Game 1 and carrying the network to an across-the-board victory in primetime.FOX's baseball coverage didn't have a lot of effect on the other networks, however, as most shows were fairly steady from a week ago. The 100th episode of "The Middle" was steady with its last original episode on ABC, and "Modern Family" was down a little but kept its spot as the night's top scripted show in adults 18-49. "Criminal Minds" and "CSI" were both up a bit for CBS, but "Arrow" and "The Tomorrow People" were down some. NBC's "Revolution" was about even.FOX delivered 13.7 million viewers and an 8.2 rating/13 share in households for the night, easily topping CBS' 10.4 million viewers and 6.5/10. ABC (6.95 million, 4.5/7) came in third, and NBC (4.8 million, 3.2/5) took fourth.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/10/tv-ratings-world-series-tops-wednesday-csi-up-with-300th-episode.html

'Revolution': Jim Beaver rides back into Eric Kripke's world

Jim Beaver guest-stars on "Revolution" Wednesday (Oct. 23) in a role that seems tailor-made for him: commander of the Texas Rangers and interior minister of the Texas government.Given his history with "Revolution" creator Eric Kripke, the part may very well have been created with Beaver in mind. The two worked together for years on "Supernatural," and Beaver says he has "enormous fondness" for Kripke."If he wants to shoot the telephone book, I'm going to be there and just ask him which letter he wants me to start with," Beaver tells Zap2it. "We've remained in touch sporadically even after he left day-to-day operations of 'Supernatural,' so I wasn't entirely surprised to hear from him when this part came up. But I've got a handful of producers in my past that all they've got to do is call and I'm ready to go to work for them, and Eric is definitely one of those."Beaver's character, John Franklin... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/10/revolution-jim-beaver-rides-back-into-eric-kripkes-world.html

Season 2 of “Revolution,” last year’s breakout hit for NBC, is intended to feel very different from last year. The drive to turn the power back on has been tabled for now. But if that quest isn’t driving the characters anymore, then what is? “You have to give the Patriots time to take their masks off,” showrunner Eric Kripke told TheWrap  after a press screening at NBC’s Los Angeles offices.  Read More... http://www.thewrap.com/revolution-boss-season-2-joss-whedon-school-showrunning?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=revolution-boss-eric-kripke-says-hes-student-joss-whedon-school-showrunning
