Pop's first original scripted series is a sitcom starring former SCTV members Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara, plus Chris Elliott.
Johnny and Stevie celebrate when the motel reaches its first fully booked status; Moira and the Jazzagals prepare for a gig; Alexis preps for her high-school graduation and makes a momentous decision; David goes on an accidental date with Patrick.
The once opulently rich Roses, following news that their now absent business manager has left them financially ruined by among other things not paying their taxes, are left by the government with only a modest income and one asset: Schitt's Creek.
This show is terrific. For fans of Best in Show or A Mighty Wind this is an absolute must see. In this classic fish-out-of-water scenario the wealthy but down on their luck Rose family struggle to come to terms with their new lives in the small town of Schitt's Creek. Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara deliver rock solid performances that any fans of their previous work will be quite pleased with. Chris Elliott's needy/psychotic hillbilly mayor steals every scene that he's in. Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy do a great job as the Rose children, despite their characters feeling a little more one dimensional than their parents in the first few episodes. I'm looking forward to seeing how the entire Rose family comes to grips with their new lives in Schitt's Creek.
