TV Ratings: 'Grimm' finale up nearly a million viewers; CBS wins the night with reruns

Fast National ratings for Friday, May 18, 2012.The "Grimm" finale on NBC was up nearly a million over last week and won its timeslot in the 18-49 demo. The finale of "Nikita" was up slightly over last week's episode, while the finale of "Supernatural" was right on par with last week's episode. However, the winning program of the night was a rerun of "Blue Bloods" on CBS, though it was down nearly 4 million over last week.CBS won the night with an average of 5.4 million viewers and a 3.7 rating/7 share in households. NBC was close behind at 5.2 million viewers and a 3.4/6 share. ABC was third at 4.76 million, 3.1/6 and FOX was fourth at 2.0 million, 1.4/3. In one of the less surprising series-pickup announcements of the past week, ABC has renewed its flagship unscripted series "Dancing With the Stars" and "The Bachelor" for next season."Shark Tank" will also be back in 2012-13, and for the first time it's getting a 22-episode season. The show has grown in the ratings this season and made ABC a little more competitive on Friday nights."DWTS" has taken a ratings tumble this spring, but both weekly shows are still in the Top 10 in viewers and post solid numbers among in the adults 18-49 demographic (3.5 on Mondays and 3.1 on Tuesdays for the season). TV Ratings: 'Blue Bloods' and 'CSI: NY' carry Friday night

Friday night was all about CBS crime dramas."Blue Bloods" and "CSI: NY" were the big winners of the evening with 10.1 million viewers and 9 million viewers respectively. Fan favorite (and recently renewed) "Fringe" held steady at 4.0 million viewers.In the eight o'clock hour, reality shows took the top spot. CBS's "Undercover Boss" narrowly beat out ABC's "Shark Tank" with 6.3 million and 6.0 million. At 9, "CSI: NY" held a 5 million viewer lead over any of it's competitors. Fast National ratings for Friday, April 13, 2012Even without their typical Friday night line-up, CBS had little difficulty winning the ratings battle. The network was led by the two-hour music special "ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends" which topped out at 8.2 million viewers (5.3/9) during the 10 p.m. - 11 p.m. hour.Overall, CBS averaged 7.4 million viewers with a 4.8 rating/8 share. ABC came in second with 5.2 million viewers (3.5/6). NBC finished third with 4.8 million (3.3/6). CBS handily took the top spot on Saturday night (Mar. 31) with a night of NCAA basketball. The network averaged almost 15 million viewers with a 5.0 rating and a 15 share among 18-49 year olds. Their closest rival was ABC with 3 million and 0.9/3. Not even close.In the first hour of prime time, NCAA basketball nabbed almost 15.3 million viewers, a 5.0 rating and a 15 share, beating out a repeat of ABC's "Shark Tank" which took in 2.7 million, 0.8/4, FOX's "Cops" with 3.4 million, 1.1/4 and NBC's "Escape Routes" which got 1.1 million and 0.2/1.In the nine o'clock hour, basketball got 14.4 million viewer, 4.9 rating in the 18-49 demo and a 15 share.
