Wait, what? They're kids? SYTYCD has been just about the only talent show I've watched besides the first 3-4 seasons of American Idol. I don't do DWTS, The Voice or none of those shows, because SYTYCD was the end all be all for me. Kids can be talented, sure, but they should not be the sole focus on this show. Maybe an ep where they were included somehow...maybe. Sigh. Unfortunately will not be watching this season. Sux

I am so disappointed in the new format. Not to say the kids aren't amazing - but it lacked the maturity of the older dancers. These kids aren't really ready to start their careers, they have years more of work ahead of them. It felt like watching (an impressive) talent show at the local school, parents and family will love to see their kid perform, but I miss the more mature aspect of it. I probably won't continue to watch it this year. :( Sad. Also, the "tween" format of texting the information and framing things felt really immature - I had trouble connecting to it. (yes, because I'm old). It felt a little like the show was writing off all the viewers that have loved it since the beginning (well, season 2 for me) and went "We are done pandering to you, this is for a whole new audience". Felt a little rude considering all the support we have given over the years. Bummer.
