'Sons of Anarchy' signs Ashley Tisdale for Season 5 guest arc

Former Disney Channel star Ashley Tisdale will join the cast of "Sons of Anarchy" for a guest-starring role in Season 5 that's about as far from Sharpay Evans as you can get.The 26-year-old Tisdale, who starred in "Hellcats" in 2010-11 and guested on "Raising Hope" last season, will play a character named Emma Jean, a "high-priced, desirable escort" who comes into SAMCRO'S orbit, TVLine reports. She'll appear in at least two episodes of the show."Sons of Anarchy" has a history of outside-the-box casting choices. At first blush, you wouldn't think the likes of Tom Arnold and David Hasselhoff would quite fit on a show about a gun-running motorcycle club, but both have appeared on the series (Arnold has done four episodes). Tisdale joins a guest cast for Season 5 that also includes Jimmy Smits and Harold Perrineau. "Sons of Anarchy" will return to FX in the fall.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/06/sons-of-anarchy-signs-ashley-tisdale-for-season-5-guest-arc.html

'Sons of Anarchy' Season 5: Jax as king, Damon Pope and the Tig-Gemma relationship

"Sons of Anarchy" had its PaleyFest Q&A panel Wednesday night (March 7), featuring creator Kurt Sutter and actors Katey Sagal, Tommy Flanagan, Theo Rossi, David Labrava and Dayton Callie. Season 5 was the hot topic of conversation and while Sutter wouldn't reveal too much, he did tease a few storylines."I've always wanted to play this idea of, and I didn't want to leave it til the last season, but this idea of putting Jax at the head of that table and the ripple effect of that on the guys and the loyalties of it and where people land," says Sutter. "For me, the interesting dynamic to play out this season is seeing Jax at the head of that table and the struggle that he has of being king," Sutter continues. "How do you, can you be the leader of an organized crime syndicate and not become Clay? And if you choose not to become Clay,... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/03/sons-of-anarchy-season-5-jax-as-king-damon-pope-and-the-tig-gemma-relationship.html

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news of the Season 6 pickup. If the series follows the arc of previous FX shows like "The Shield," "Nip/Tuck" and "Rescue Me," a seventh season is likely as well (and would be covered under Sutter's deal). He doesn't necessarily want to set a finite end date, though."There's a part of me that does see being able to tell this story in seven seasons, but there's a part of me that doesn't want to say, 'That's it,'" Sutter tells The Hollywood Reporter. Sons of Anarchy Season 5: A Journey for Jax

If you're Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, it's not too early to start thinking about season five. Or, fortunately for us, to start blogging about it. Having already said that Opie and Wendy will return to the series this fall, Sutter wrote this week that the upcoming season will focus heavily on Jax and his "journey" as President of SAMCRO. The man must decide what he wants his legacy to be. "This season will be a pivotal one in the arc of the series," Sutter wrote on his blog . "Not that all the seasons haven't been essential in shaping the mythology, but this season will begin to lay track for how the series ends. In a feature film, season 5 would be the end of act two. Where the hero has been faced with the primary conflict and obstacles and is forced to make a decision that either ends well or not-so-well."
