'90210': 'Supernatural's' Matt Cohen replaces Drew Seeley as Jeremy

Things move fast in Beverly Hills!Actor Drew Seeley was set to guest star as newcomer Jeremy this season on "90210" as our West Bev friends head off to their various post-high-school lives.Unfortunately for him, sources tell Zap2it exclusively that Seeley, best known as Zac Efron's singing voice in the first "High School Musical" and most recently of TBS's '80s college comedy "Glory Daze," called into work sick on Wednesday -- and was promptly replaced.Unable to rearrange the schedule to accomodate Seeley's sick day, the powers that be at "90210" pulled an eleventh-hour switcheroo. Sources tell us the character will now be played by Matt Cohen, who is familiar to CW fanatics from his role as young John Winchester on "Supernatural." Cohen had auditioned for the role earlier, but was the producers' second choice.Series star Shenae Grimes, however, knows Cohen from their days on "Degrassi" and "South of Nowhere" respectively, when both shows were airing on... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/07/90210-supernaturals-matt-cohen-replaces-drew-seeley-as-jeremy.html

Supernatural Season 7 Mini Spoilers: Sam's Wall, the Impala & a Returning Guest Star

I have to admit, I'm dying for some solid season 7 spoilers for  Supernatural  and I don't want to wait another 9 days until the  Supernatural  panel at Comic-Con to get them. This weekend I posted about  Firefly  alum Jewel Staite making a guest appearance in episode 7.03 (the one Jensen Ackles is directing).  Also taking place this weekend was a  Supernatural convention in New Jersey.  Jensen couldn't make it, but Jared Padalecki did throw the fans a few mini spoilers about season 7.  And a former guest star confirmed her return. So do you want some tiny  Supernatural  spoilers for next season?  If so, read on. Updated:  Want to see some great behind the scenes photos from episode 7.03? When you're done reading the spoilers before, go take a look at  this article . Supernatural Season 7: Behind the Scenes Photos of the Winchester Brothers

Thank God the  Supernatural  people got back to work, because I've been going through some serious withdrawal.  Over the weekend we posted some photos of Jensen Ackles and the crew filming for episode 7.03 (which is the first episode being shot since Jensen is directing).  Photos revealed that  Firefly  actress Jewel Staite was going to be making a guest appearance in the episode, which is rumored to be Sam-centric. Now PUNKD Images has managed to catch more behind the scenes shots of the cast and crew filming.  Take a look at the photos below, then go check out the rest on the PUNKD Images website.  Star Jared Padalecki finally appears in some photos, complete with Sam's "concerned face".  The photos also reveal that an actor named Michael Nyuis will be making a guest appearance. We also want to exclusively share with you this image of one of the hot items at the annual pop-culture festival. What you see here is one of 10 different bags that Warner Bros. will be rolling out at Comic-Con -- or the only bag that matters, if you're a fan of a couple of demon-hunting brothers. One side of each bag will feature all-new WB/Comic-Con artwork, and on the other side of each bag will be one of 10 different images from a Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment or DC Entertainment property. Winchester fans will be glad to know that the CW's 'Supernatural' will be in the mix, represented by the image you see here. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/07/12/supernatural-comic-con-bag/

'Supernatural' Season 7: 'Firefly's' Jewel Staite to guest star

"Supernatural" has a long history of inviting some of our favorite genre actresses to guest star -- including "Buffy's" Amber Benson, "Battlestar Galactica's" Tricia Helfer, and even Linda Blair, from "The Exorcist." Sources confirm to Zap2it that Joss Whedon alum Jewel Staite has now joined the esteemed list. Staite is certainly a mainstay in the sci-fi/fantasy arena, having starred on Whedon's "Firefly" and "Serenity" as Kaylee and on "Stargate: Atlantis" as Dr. Jennifer Keller. (Some of us non sci-fi folks also remember her from the short-lived but totally awesome '90s series "Flash Forward" with Ben Foster.)Staite will appear in the third episode this season, set to air Oct. 7, as a childhood friend of Sam's (Jared Padalecki) who he encounters on a hunt. The story will involve flashbacks -- there's no word yet on who will play the younger version of Staite's character, Amy, but we have confirmed that Colin Ford will return as 15-year-old... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/07/supernatural-season-7-fireflys-jewel-staite-to-guest-star.html

'Supernatural's' Misha Collins on Season 7: Will Castiel find redemption?

When "Supernatural" boss Sera Gamble announced in May that Misha Collins' role would be reduced to guest star status in Season 7, fans were shocked -- especially because the season finale showed us a whole new side of his character when Castiel absorbed enough power to become the new God.AOL was the first to speak with Collins, who was a series regular in Season 5 and Season 6, about the implications of his new place in the credits."I am not going to be a series regular on 'Supernatural' next year," he said. "I don't really know what my role on the show is going to be."Collins confirms that we will see Castiel in the first and second episode of the season. "I don't know beyond that what the season holds for me," he says. The third episode, currently shooting in Vancouver, is a Sam-centric episode directed by Jensen Ackles. The guest star status implies that... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/07/supernaturals-misha-collins-on-season-7-will-castiel-find-redemption.html

EXCLUSIVE: 'Supernatural' Star Misha Collins Talks Castiel's Role in Season 7

The CW's 'Supernatural' has spent six years defying audience expectations and gleefully leaving us on the edge of our seats with every season finale, but last season's climactic close proved to be one of the most shocking yet. Fan-favorite character Castiel (Misha Collins) pulled a dirty double cross in the last few episodes, revealing an unholy alliance with the demon Crowley for dominion over purgatory ... and let's just say that the finale didn't leave Cas and the Winchesters on the best of terms. I recently had the privilege of traveling to Haiti with Collins and his charity, Random Acts, for a life-changing voluntary excursion (we'll have an in-depth feature on the trip next week), but during our wide-ranging interview, I couldn't resist slipping in a couple of questions about his status next season, and his response to the outpouring of fan support for his character. There's not much new information here, but proceed with caution, there are mild spoilers ahead. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/07/06/exclusive-supernatural-star-misha-collins-season-7/

'Supernatural' Season 7: Colin Ford to return as young Sam, directed by Jensen Ackles

We always love a peek into our favorite characters' pasts, so we're going to just go ahead and call this excellent news."Supernatural" begins production on Season 7 in Vancouver in early July -- and reps confirm to Zap2it exclusively that Colin Ford, one of our favorite recurring guest stars, will be returning as young Sam Winchester for the third episode, tentatively titled "The Girl Next Door."Brock Kelly, who played opposite Ford as young Dean Winchester, is on deck to return for Season 7 as well. Though contracts have not been officially signed, Kelly's reps confirm to Zap2it, "There is a strong possibility that he will return."UPDATE: Warner Bros. tells Zap2it that Kelly will not be appearing in episode 703. Reps for Kelly tell us that he is in discussions for future episodes. We're told that the episode involves Sam (Jared Padalecki) having flashbacks to when he was 15 years old, when a girl named Amy saved... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/supernatural-season-7-colin-ford-returns-as-young-sam-directed-by-jensen-ackles.html
