Thanks to The CW 's Twitter mole, LilMissX, we now have a sneak peek at an upcoming Supernatural episode that will feature the return of John Winchester. But before you get too excited, relax: Jeffrey Dean Morgan is not back. Instead, this new photo is from an upcoming episode tentatively titled "Back to the Future II." As you might imagine, it's another flashback episode, which means the Papa Winchester we'll meet again is the young one. Matthew Cohen, who first appeared as Young John in season 4's "In the Beginning," returns, as you can see in the photo where he's featured with Dean. I know it might not be as cool as having the original Papa Winchester back, but it should be interesting to see how the past ties back to the Lucifer/Apocalypse storyline. Supernatural returns with new episodes Thursday, January 21 at 9pm on the CW.' Source Here
Ever wondered what heaven would be like? Supernatural is giving us not just a sneak peek of paradise as reported previously but an episode set in the mystical place, according to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello. Warning: Spoilers ahead!!! If you've been reading spoilers about the rest of the fifth season of Supernatural, then this shouldn't come as a surprise for you. The show is going to feature a plot in which Sam and Dean are going to die--- actually, "murdered" is the more appropriate term, and will go to heaven. Death has never really been a stranger on Supernatural but considering how heavy and emotional the past deaths have been, it's unsettling to imagine what the Winchester brothers might go through. On the other hand, there's comfort in knowing that there might be some insane or humorous twist involve in all this. What will heaven look like? Any thoughts on who murders Sam and Dean? Don't forget to catch Supernatural when it returns on Thursday, January 21 on The CW. Source Here

In the meantime, check out our spoilers after the jump, and you'll find what you need to prepare yourself for the show's return in January. When we last saw Supernatural, the Winchester brothers attempted to kill Lucifer with the Colt only to discover that it can't kill him. Supernatural fans are about to get a lot more of their show, as TNT has purchased the syndication rights and will begin airing repeats in January 2010. The CW sci-fi drama will air weekdays at 10am starting Monday, January 4. While TNT is mostly known for cop procedural reruns like Law and Order, mornings on the network have a sci-fi slant. Currently repeats of Angel air 6-8am followed by three hours of Charmed. Now Supernatural can be added to that list. The reruns will begin with the pilot and air in order. However, according to The Futon Critic, TNT also has a 10-hour Supernatural marathon scheduled for Monday, February 15 starting at 9am. That marathon will feature some of the show's more comedic episodes like "Tall Tales," "Hollywood Babylon," "Bad Day at Black Rock," "Mystery Spot" and "Monster Movie." Supernatural returns to the CW with the conclusion of its fifth season on Thursday, January 21 at 9pm. Source Here
The CW releases a promo of "Supernatural" that teases the first episode airing next year. "Sam, Interrupted" will be one serious episode with Sam being tied to the bed post and held inside the quarantine room of a house for the insane. While the official synopsis is not yet released, it is known that a lot of the supernatural happenings will occur within the psych ward. There will be a "twitchy, anxious ball of nerves" former hunter named Martin Creaser who is staying as one of the residents and Dr. Erica Fletcher, a "beautiful, smart, credible psychiatrist in her 30s with a sweetly sympathetic manner who seems to understand Dean's conflict and pains." "Sam, Interrupted" is to air on January 21, 2010. The title is a homage to the Angelina Jolie starring movie "Girl, Interrupted". Source & Promo
While Supernatural won't air a new episode until January 21, the series is at least giving fans a lot to ponder about what's on the way. First, Julie McNiven previewed the installment "Back to the Future II," which will focus on a Terminator-like trip through time for Anna. Now, The CW has released details for the February episode "My Bloody Valentine," which involved the character of Cupid. Yes, that Cupid. In a casting notice, the mythical character is described as "doughy, out of shape and naked," greeting everyone with bear hugs worthy of such a loving individual. Any thoughts on who should take on this iconic role? The episode will also feature Famine, a withered member of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Source Here
