Amazing Race's Mel: I Wouldn't Have Quit Had Mike Not Been There

Amazing Race: Unfinished Business got down, dirty and cold in Japan this week — so cold that Season 14 alums Mel and Mike White opted for medical attention during the frog-searching mud pit Detour, which ultimately booked them a trip home. "It was such a tough race. They wanted to make it tough because we had all experienced it already," Mel tells TVGuide.com. "It was too tough for me." Still, the 70-year-old writer says he and Mike — who is working on the upcoming HBO series Enlightened — have no regrets about throwing in the towel. Preview: 'The Amazing Race' 18 Continues in Australia

The 18th season premiere of " The Amazing Race " did not end with an elimination for all the eleven teams were told to continue the race after reaching the pit stop. At the end of the February 20 episode, host Phil Keoghan handed out the teams some codes to solve as they arrived one by one. The Cowboys were the last.   In the preview for next week's episode, it looks like Jet & Cord are in big trouble. Not only they are last in position but they "have no idea" what to do with the codes.
