I would have been shocked if this had been renewed. I guess I respect Kurt Sutter for pulling the plug with some dignity.

This show was unwatchable. I'm glad it was put out of its misery.

The "series finale" of "The Bastard Executioner" was a bit too neat, given the Machiavellian bent of the characters and tension created by sins and secrets. I did wonder how this "Lady Macbeth" cast was going to return, given that every secret was "on the table." It wasn't "Vikings," but touring Feudal Wales in 1425 was verrry interesting. Here's to an interesting series, not at all like "Almost Human," but just as dead. (Speaking of "Minority Report," the series clanks along like Don Quixote without Sancho Panza and is about as much fun as a rare bad episode of "Grimm.")

This show was awesome but different. It was brutal and crazy at times with Steven Moyer's character but it was a great show. Kurt knew that putting a lot of money in a show if not enough people are watching then he pulls the plug. I understand his decision but I hope this show gets picked up from Netflix or maybe a premium channel!!

What?!

Okay, so how can this be gone, and Sleepy hollow still be kicking? At least this had a plot! Also a way better costume and makeup artist. It really is a shock to see this one go and to see some of the others stay? I really don't get the logic?

Well, I can't say that I'm not surprised, the show was lacking in some areas. Don't get me wrong, I liked it. Just not as much as other shows that I watch. I liked the mystical seraphim sub plot and would have liked to keep watching, that stuff intrigues me. But I was barely able to watch the episodes because they dragged on and then they started stacking up on my DVR. I'm glad Kurt Sutter took the high road and quit while he was still ahead. I have faith he'll make up for this with the spinoff of SOA.

I hear what you're saying, I don't think it was perfect either. I just don't understand how one show (SH) which is lacking in way more areas survives cancelation while this one (TBE) that could have been easily jazzed up is gone. Why cancel one and try to save another with a stale plot that needs way more work time effort and money to have it work?

Only got through the pilot, but it was certainly one of the worst pilots I've ever seen. Really wanted to like it, found it completely unwatchable. Not even remotely surprised it got the axe.

Another show that got cancelled before I had the time to start watching it. That happens more often than usual lately. I started watching The Last Kingdom though, and that show is quite good.

Duh, not even Stephen Moyer's hotness could save this hot mess.

Some folks are able to sit, watch, and think about what is going on, and imagine the lives of the characters, all while sitting still and paying attention. No, the show did not have the suspense or action, that keeps adrenaline junkies on their toes. It was more of a history lesson, which actually had value. I wouldn't call it 'unwatchable". But then, I didn't. :)

Just when it was starting to get really good the cocks tossed it!!! Loved this show... Kurt Sutter is brilliant... I don't understand why this got pulled when there's so many other crap shows that are still alive and kicking..
