The Big Bang Theory Renewed For Three More Years!

The Big Bang Theory + three more years = lots more awesome geeky fun! Now that's the kind of math we like to do. CBS just announced that they'll be renewing BBT through the 2013-2014 season, so fans don't have to fret one bit about a shortage of Leonard, Sheldon, Penny, and the rest. Nina Tassler , President of CBS Entertainment, says in a statement: "It doesn't take a theoretical physicist to see why this show is a BIG part of our comedy future. The creative genius of Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and the on-camera talents of an amazing young ensemble have created a comedy that will entertain viewers for a long time." Read More…

'The Big Bang Theory' recap: Like Old Times

For long stretches of last night's episode of   The Big Bang Theory,   you could be forgiven for wondering if CBS was rebroadcasting an ep from the first or second season that you'd somehow never seen. No Amy Farrah Fowler. No Bernadette. Sheldon behaving at peak comic obnoxiousness; Leonard behaving at peak slow-burn exasperation. A plot heavy on geeky, esoteric science. A strong emphasis on Penny's disinterest in said science, and great interest in anything shoe-related. And Howard and Raj popping in for a few quick-hit comic scenes bracketing the main story. Kaley Cuoco's barely perceptible limp betrayed the fact that the episode does indeed date from this season. But if it weren't for Penny's almost saintly season-four-esque patience with managing Sheldon's persnickety nature, I'd strongly suspect "The Bus Pants Utilization" was borne from an un-produced season 2 script and a last-minute, holiday-season panic for new material. The Big Bang Crew Get Their Comic On

At the risk of mixing nerd metaphors, "The Justice League Recombination" — a DC Comics-themed episode of The Big Bang Theory — promises to cause many disturbances in the force. Penny is back with Zack (Brian Thomas Smith), that Tall Drink of Manbot from last season who makes Leonard feel positively pubescent. "The writers and I were thinking, 'Is there any reason Sheldon would want Zack for anything?'" explains executive producer Bill Prady. (Zack will likely reappear this season, but Prady isn't sure if he'll be a bona fide romantic threat.) "We started with, 'He's big and strong — maybe Sheldon needs something lifted? And that led to, 'What if Sheldon needed a Superman?'" As it happened, he did. To Read More Click Here.
