The Bletchley Circle follows the journey of four ordinary women with extraordinary skills that helped to end World War II
Lack of action by the police leaves the women to conclude there must be corruption within the vice squad and that catching the gang red-handed is their only option. Plotting to infiltrate the crime ring to find out the location of the hotel being used as a base, they visit Marta in her restaurant, pretending Jean is a potential new client. This leads to an opportunity for Lucy to memorise the businesswoman's ledger, which may hold the key to the whole operation. Last in the series
When Millie is kidnapped and taken to a hotel by Soho gangster types, Alice suspects the incident could be connected to her recent dealings on the black market. Wanting to avoid involvement from the police, she contacts the other women, and their investigation takes them to Jasper, Millie's business associate. Meanwhile, during her ordeal in captivity, Millie tries to get an eastern European girl to help her, but it soon becomes clear she is in no position to do so. With Rob Jarvis (Hustle)
Women are badass and this is proof of it. Though through out it wort of makes you want to slap the men and tell them to get a grip for not noticing. Then you remember this was the 50s and unfortunately the norm. The cases are interesting and the women contribute eminently in each their way. It is also a different take on the post war period where women had to adapt to becoming regular, not listened to, housewives.
