'All on the Line' premiere: Struggling designers, ELLE's Joe Zee is here to help

After appearing on MTV's "The City" and The CW's "Stylista," ELLE magazine's creative director, Joe Zee, takes the lead on his own show on the Sundance Channel, "All on the Line." On the new series, Zee helps designers revamp their struggling businesses, redesign their line, and present it to major retailers. Zee tells us the series will show fans more of what his job entails compared to the other shows he's appeared in. "I think what they've previously seen was bite-sized pieces of what I do," Zee tells Zap2it. "In 'The City,' I'm sitting there moderating between two girls or on 'Stylista,' I'm sitting there judging people on pages, but this is now working with design. You get to hear me talk about my experience, my expertise, what I can bring to something... You can actually see how I can be an authority in that world. I'm here to help."In Tuesday's (March 29) premiere episode, he takes on... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/all-on-the-line-premiere-struggling-designers-elles-joe-zee-is-here-to-help.html

Whitney Port Answers Your Burning Questions: December 2010 - Wetpaint

We caught up with Whitney right before the holidays to ask her your most burning questions, all about fashion, TV, and the woman herself. The designer and reality star just wrapped two major assignments: the debut of her highly-anticipated Whitney Eve Seamless Spring 2011 collection in Los Angeles; and a crazy-sexy Maxim photo shoot, the results of which appear in the January issue. She needed a break! And we gave her one, by asking her to break down her thoughts on The Bachelor and vampires vs. werewolves. Then she took a flying leap into another rousing game of "Would you rather... ?" To Read More Click Here.

Will Whitney Port Join Dancing With the Stars?

Don't expect Whitney Port to be hanging with her The Hills bestie Lauren Conrad on-camera anytime soon, or following in gal pal Audrina Patridge's dance shoes on Dancing With the Stars. Despite that fact that both are now working in the fashion industry, Port tells TV Guide Magazine while hosting the Bowl For A Better LA benefit that she "doubts" she'll make any appearances on Conrad's upcoming new MTV reality series (tentatively titled Lauren Conrad: Fiercely Fashionable). "I think we've kind of gone our separate ways. Not in a friendship way, but just career-wise," said Port, who admitted to being a little over being filmed 24/7. "It gets a little bit exhausting — like, emotionally exhausting. I don't know if I'm done with TV permanently, but I think that kind of that reality soap opera kind of thing is not my thing anymore." Port said she's been tempted to take a spin on DWTS' dance floor, but she's resisting so far. "I don't think so," she said. "I have a lot of people in my life that are telling me that they want me to do it, but I don't think that I'll do it." To Read More Click Here.

MTV cancels 'The City,' Whitney Port confirms

There have been a lot of rumblings about whether or not "The City" will be returning for another season, since the network hasn't announced its renewal yet. Now, the show's star says the show isn't coming back and Zap2it's sources close to the production confirm that the show has been canceled. "As of right now, it doesn't really look like we're doing it anymore," Whitney Port, 25, tells Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. She went on to tell Seacrest that there are no plans for the reality show to move to another network. In the meantime, Port is setting her eyes on the future. "I'm working on some other things," she says. "It's okay. One door closes and another opens." There has been a lot of talk in the industry that MTV under new president Judy McGrath has set its priorities on steering away from reality shows and more towards scripted series like MTV's American version of "Skins" and its "Teen Wolf" reboot. As Zap2it first reported, the network shut the doors on new reality series, "Bridge & Tunnel," for apparently being too similar to "Jersey Shore." MTV was unable to reply to our request for confirmation by the time this article posted. We'll update when it does. Source Here

The City Creator: Major Changes Ahead for Season 3

On the eve of The Hills' series finale, series creator and executive producer Adam DiVello is looking ahead to a new season of his other show, The City. Led by Hills alum Whitney Port, the series wrapped its second season Tuesday with Port and BFF Roxy Olin still on the outs after a disagreement at work. Port was contemplating signing with one of her mentor's rival PR companies. Although the New York-based series has yet to be officially renewed for a third season, DiVello already has big changes in the works. "We're kind of tooling with that and messing with that show so I think when it comes back, it's going to be a little different than what you've seen. But it will be a better incarnation of it," DiVello says. "We have a bunch of new people lined up and a bunch of new locations. We just kind of branched it out. We're just waiting for the word." Stephanie Pratt May Move From 'The Hills' to 'The City'

Stephanie Pratt apparently is not ready to end her reality TV career. It is reported that the younger sister of Spencer Pratt is moving to "The City" because her current starring vehicle "The Hills" is going to wrap up for good on Tuesday, July 13. If it is indeed true, then Stephanie would be reunited with the show's stars Whitney Port and Olivia Palermo. "Now that 'The Hills' is over, Stephanie has been talking about moving to New York for 'The City'," a source told NY Post. "There would be a lot of drama there because her ex-best friend, Roxy Olin, is a regular on the show - and there's bad blood because Roxy just dropped Stephanie for Whitney Port." The producers and Stephanie allegedly are in negotiation terms right now and no decision has been made. MTV has not responded to the report, but a source told Gossip Cop that there is actually no discussion yet. Source Here

Whitney and Roxy Have a Cat Fight on 'The City' (VIDEO)

It's girl vs. girl on 'The City' (Tue., 10:30PM ET on MTV). Apparently, our glamorous young women are running into a little trouble. Whitney wants to "style" a hot new rock band, but she feels that Roxy isn't obeying her every whim. Naturally -- this being 'The City' -- the whole thing inevitably leads to conflict. MTV Denies 'The City' Has Been Canceled

Canceled?! What? It just, finally, got good this season! We're talking about 'The City,' 'The Hills' spin-off series that was rumored to be on the chopping block now that 'The Hills' is winding down to its Jul. 13 series finale. But, good news, according to GossipCop.com, which reports that MTV has officially denied 'The City''s departure from its primetime line-up. The show's cancellation is "totally 100 percent not true," MTV programming president Tony DiSanto tells GossipCop.com. Thank goodness, because the reality TV landscape would be a lot poorer without weekly doses of the deliciously outspoken Kelly Cutrone and that sneaky, conniving Olivia Palermo, one of the reality villains we most love to hate. For those uninitiated to the goings on of 'The City': 'The Hills' Lauren Conrad became friends with Whitney Port when the two were interning at Teen Vogue magazine. Whitney proved to be so charming (if, admittedly, a little boring) amongst all the drama queens of 'The Hills' that MTV producers packed her up, moved her to New York City to pursue a career in the fashion biz and chronicled the whole thing on 'The City.' 'The City's' Louise Roe talks Olivia Palermo and her upcoming CW reality show 'Plain Jane'

At the end of last week's June 15 episode of "The City," it seemed that Erin Kaplan's new Elle.com hire, Louise Roe, was getting along with Olivia Palermo just fine. We're thinking that's not what Erin had in mind when she brought Louise on board. Of course, Olivia got along fine with Whitney Port in the beginning as well, and we all know how that ended. So will Louise and Olivia continue to work together peacefully? "That's where I say you'll just have to watch and find out," Louise Roe tells Zap2it, choosing her words very carefully. "Here's what I will say. Olivia has always been nothing but polite and pleasant to my face." Of course, Olivia is a hot topic for every cast member on the show - everyone from Whitney to Erin has clashed with her. "I mean, she's got the most incredible style. That's me answering your question like a politician. That's all I'm allowed to say! I'm sorry," Louise laughs. "The production and the crew, they're awesome people. Whitney's lovely."
