The final performances on "The Voice" carried NBC to a win in the Fast National ratings for Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, and the show was up week to week (pending updates). It was down, however, compared to the last performance episode in both cycles last season. Also Monday, "Jane the Virgin" ended its fall run by tying its best 18-49 rating to date, while "Hart of Dixie's" season premiere matched its opener from a year ago. CBS' "2 Broke Girls" was up a little, but the rest of the net's lineup was flat or fell slightly. FOX's broadcast of the "American Country Countdown Awards" didn't pull in much of an audience. ABC's "Great Christmas Light Fight" dipped from its premiere.NBC averaged 10.3 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households for the night, pending updates for an NFL pre-emption in New Orleans. CBS (9.1 million, 5.7/9) came in second. ABC took third with 5.7 million... http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Zap2it/~3/8qtdn-_sS-E/tv_ratings_december_15_2014_the_voice_jane_the_virgin_hart_of_dixie-2014-12
"The Great Christmas Light Fight" opened its second season on ABC with improved numbers in the Fast National ratings for Monday, Dec. 8, 2014. The network's numbers are boosted by a couple of "Monday Night Football" pre-emptions, but it's likely the holiday show will end higher than its premiere a year ago.Elsewhere Monday, "The Voice" was down a little bit for NBC with its next-to-last performance show of the fall, but "State of Affairs" held steady week to week. CBS' lineup was up across the board, with "Mike & Molly" improving on "The Millers" at 8:30 p.m. (though it was down from its premiere last year). "The Originals" fall finale was even with its last original episode.NBC led the night with 9.2 million viewers and a 5.8 rating/9 share in households, beating out CBS' 8.8 million and 5.5/9. ABC (7.8 million, 4.8/8) came in third, pending updates. FOX (1.9 million, 1.2/2) finished a distant fourth... http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Zap2it/~3/nreY_S4jm-Y/tv_ratings_monday_december_8_2014_great_christmas_light_fight_mike_and_molly_the_voice-2014-12
Which TV series will your friends (and the entire internet) be talking about this week? Stay informed—or at least be able to fake it—with SideReel's weekly guide to The Most Important Shows on TV. The Great Christmas Light Fight (Season Premiere) Monday at 8:00pm on ABC Why: Because... well, let's be honest, this is a bit of a freak show kind of thing, and we LOVE that (just look at this season of American Horror Story and everything on TLC)! Families create bonkers Christmas light displays for the chance to win $50,000—an amount that will probably barely cover their electric bill for the season. Prepare to talk about: How ugly some of these displays are (less can be more!); how you'd hate to be these peoples' neighbors; how you prefer the old-style incandescent Christmas lights to the new LEDs (I can't be the only one who feels that way, right?). Pretty Little Liars Tuesday at 8:00pm on ABC Family Why: Because it's PLL , DUH! And there's a Christmas party! Also, Alison is still being a total "A"-hole, that undead nutcase. Prepare to talk about: How Alison goes the full "Christmas Carol" with a "ghostly presence" showing her her past, present, and future; how Dickens is probably in his grave like, "Oh, god, what is even going on up there, sigh"; what kind of budget Rosewood has for its Christmas parties because they look pretty blinged-out. Marco Polo (Series Premiere) Friday at 3:00am on Netflix Why: Because it's Netflix's attempt at its own Game of Thrones , but like, historical. Also, who knows, maybe you didn't know that Marco Polo was a person before he was a pool game. Watch and learn! Like you did with Wishbone back in the day (but with more nudity, probably). Prepare to talk about: How this cost $10,000,000 (yes, that's MILLION); how long you watched it before switching back to binge-watching Gilmore Girls ; how it must have sucked to have to travel that far by horse. Fast National ratings for Monday, Dec. 9, 2013"The Sing-Off" returned to NBC Monday to higher ratings than its last time out, rising half a point in adults 18-49 from its 2011 premiere (when it aired as a weekly series rather than a two-week strip). It didn't hurt that it had "The Voice," which was steady in the 18-49 demo and up in viewers vs. last week, as a lead-in.Elsewhere Monday, the premiere of ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight" drew decent ratings, improving on the debut of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" last year. "Almost Human" ticked up for FOX, but CBS' "Mike & Molly" fell as rest of the network's comedy block was in reruns.NBC averaged 9.9 million viewers and a 6.1 rating/9 share in households in primetime, easily beating ABC (6.5 million, 3.9/6) for the top spot. FOX (6.25 million, 3.9/6) came in third.
