The IT Crowd Reviews & Ratings

30 minutes

The IT Crowd is a BAFTA-nominated British sitcom written by Irish director Graham Linehan and produced by Ash Atalla for Channel 4. Currently, one series of six episodes has been produced and a second series of six episodes. The IT Crowd is set in the offices of Reynholm Industries, a fictitious British corporation in central London. It focuses on the shenanigans of the three-strong IT support team located in a dingy, untidy and unkempt basement - a stark contrast to the shining modern architecture and stunning London views enjoyed by the rest of the organisation.

A fantastic show. It just gets better and better. Why do all good British shows only last for a few seasons!? I can watch it again and again.

This shows has one of the best comedic deliveries out there. Even if a joke might not have been that funny on paper, the actors manage to turn it into comedy gold.

After all the hype over this show, I was looking forward to finally watching it. I have to say, though, I'm disappointed. I've forced myself to keep watching through the first season to see if it improves, but throughout, the comedic moments are either predictable or forced. I'm at the point now where I can't even bring myself to watch the first season finale. Jen is really very annoying, and over-the-top, and I just don't get why that's funny.

Very funny British sit-com with plenty of references for geeks, computer nerds and anyone who has ever felt awkward in the workplace. The phrase "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" never gets old and the fact that no one in the company is very IT proficient is addressed at every opportunity. Moss, Jen and Roy have a great friendship that you only get with work collegues and many of the reocurring gags they deliver between themselves are great too.

Although not every episode made me laugh out loud, and some of the plot lines were a bit hit or miss, overall the show delivered a good amount of comedy and originality in the writing. The episode based on Countdown is still a comdey highlight for me, I must have seen it half a dozen times at least! I admire the show for finishing when and in the way it did too, a great send off for all our favourite characters.

"Have you tries switching it off and on again" literally my motto in life. this show amazingly describes all the office drama with light-hearted comedy. I loved Roy [Chris o'Dowd] character he is adorable so is Jen's [Katherine Parkinson]. People just watch the pilot its guaranteed you will wanna watch the entire series.
