*SPOILER ALERT*
This show is an amazing mixture of crime, mystery, comedy and drama. The concept of Red John was brilliant and it gets the viewer hooked to the show wanting to know how in the hell did he do that? Or how does he know things before Patrick Jane does.
At one point, it felt as though Red John could have been an organization or something, looking at the way he operated and had knowledge of everything. Everything about this show was amazing except one thing... The Reveal.
When Red John was revealed, i doubt i've ever felt as much disappointment about anything else. The way he is dealt with by Patrick; the fact that they didn't tell us how red john operated and how he knew about Patrick's Red John List of Suspects, made me go "omg that was so pathetic. It was much better when we didn't know who Red John was".
If the writers could have done a better ending for Red John, it would have been a literal mind blowing series. But it felt as though they were trying, but couldn't come up with a better Reveal.
But overall would definitely, without a doubt, recommend this show to others.

I miss this show already! The final season in my opinion was a let down but other than that I enjoyed each episode. Finding out who Red John was became thrilling with each season and kept the show going nicely. I would definitely recommend.

Watched the first season sort of bailed in the second. The show was a standard CBS procedural so it was mediocre.

This was an excellent show at it's prime...that was before Red John was caught and killed. The show really should have ended there - on a fantastic high, instead, we were treated to a below par follow-up season, that result in the unlikely love story that was never a will they, won't there. Jane and Lisbon did not have any chemistry until it was force upon us, in many uncomfortable scenes until we finally accepted it. Much like Lost and Heroes, it started off with a bang but ended - just ended.

Such a great show. It's just another crime drama but they've put a cool spin on it with a mentalist. You really start to like Patrick Jane as the seasons go on. But as soon as Red John is caught the plot kind of goes downhill.

Tiger, tiger! One of the best crime dramas there are! The cases the squad solves are thrilling, but the interpersonal relationships make the show especially outstanding! A must-watch for every addict!

The last season was weird. And the whole Red John thing was frequently confusing, even when binge watching the show.
