'The Neighbors' Season 2 casts Jerry Springer and Lucy Davis

"The Neighbors" will return for Season 2 this fall, and casting news makes it likely that everything will be as weird as ever on the sitcom. Talk-show host Jerry Springer and actress Lucy Davis (Dawn on the original British "The Office") will both appear as guest stars (according to EW.com).Springer will show up in the season premiere of the show. As he so often does, the host will be a moderator of sorts -- a virtual sort, actually. There is no word yet on what the virtual Jerry will be moderating, but we can at least hope that it will involve a lot of yelling and possibly a chair toss.Davis, meanwhile, won't show up until the third episode of the season. She will play a character named Helen, described as an elegant and proper British woman who inherits a fast-food restaurant. ABC Fall Premiere Dates: 'Modern Family,' 'Grey's Anatomy' Get Extended Debuts

ABC has released its fall premiere dates and it continues the trend of staggered debut dates, something broadcast networks have taken from the cable playbook. Premiering on Friday, Sept. 6, "20/20" will officially kick off ABC's fall season, earlier than the other networks. TV ratings: 'American Idol' and 'Survivor' steady on Wednesday

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, March 13, 2013The Top 10 performances on "American Idol" Wednesday produced ratings in line with last week's show -- it grew a little bit in total viewers and dropped a tenth of a point in adults 18-49. "Survivor: Caramoan" also was on par with its performance last week, holding even in the 18-49 demographic and rising a tick in viewers.The night's only other new episodes, "Whitney" and "The Neighbors," were down some from last week.FOX scored 13.1 million viewers and an 8.0 rating/13 share in households in primetime, finishing well ahead of CBS (8.2 million, 5.2/8). ABC's 3.95 million viewers and 2.6/4 edged NBC's 3.8 million and 2.5/4. The CW (1.5 million, 1.0/2) trailed.FOX also dominated the 18-49 demo with a 3.6 rating. CBS was the best of the rest at 2.0.
