Tavis Smiley is a late night talk show recorded at the PBS station KCET in Los Angeles, California. Since the show began in 2004, host Tavis Smiley has conducted in-depth interviews covering a broad range of subjects. It is not uncommon for the show to feature high profile guests from politics, sports, and entertainment, often during the same night. The show has the distinction of being PBS' first talk show based out of the west coast. Tavis Smiley is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Television, News, Talk, or Information Series or Special. In addition to his talk show duties, Tavis Smiley also hosts a radio show on Public Radio International.
