Poor Joel McHale. I honestly donât know how The Soup host will cope with LAT - that is, Life After Tyra. Because The Tyra Show came to an end today after five whole years on the air. That means weâll no longer see any of this. Or this. Or this. So, as Joel says, after âover 700 episodes, 454 weaves, 1,686 fat man suits, 2,525 clinically traumatized audience members, and one cease-and-desist letter to The Soup,â letâs celebrate with by re-watching the E! showâs brilliant Tyra mash-up from Friday. And, for the sake of fairness, see the first few minutes of Tyraâs final program after the jump as well. Source & Video
It's never over for Tyra Banks. Even though her talk show is holding on to its last legs, the influential model and host has something better. She's apparently a recipient for the 41st NAACP Image Awards, along with America's Next Top Model and one of its contestants. First off, The Tyra Banks Show managed to find a place in the category for "Outstanding Talk Show." It's going against four other contenders, namely Lopez Tonight, The Mo'Nique Show, ABC's The View and The Wanda Sykes Show. Meanwhile, America's Next Top Model has a spot in the "Outstanding Reality Series" category. While several of you may think it deserves the title, it seems to have some tough competition in this arena. The series has to put up with American Idol 8 and Dancing with the Stars, in addition to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta. But things are looking good for the CW reality series, especially since it has produced another possible winner for the NAACP Awards. Actress and former America's Next Top Model contestant Eva Marcille is also in the running. After landing a role on The Young and the Restless, Marcille rose to even more fame and therefore earned a slot in the NAACP competition. Her soap opera gig booked a nomination for the category "Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series" for this year. Joining her are The Young and the Restless co-stars Tatyana Ali and Tonya Lee Williams. Other competitors include One Life to Live's Daphne Duplaix and All My Children's Debbi Morgan. For the full list of nominees, check out the NAACP website Here . We'd already like to congratulate Tyra and Eva Marcille for making the cut, but there's no doubt we'd much rather see them win. If you want to see them awarded for their efforts, catch the NAACP Image Awards on February 26, 2010 at 8pm on FOX. Source Here
Tyra Banks is ending her talk show after this season. "This will be the last season of The Tyra Show," Banks tells People. "I've been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years." Read more here
Tyra Banks is holding a giveaway on "The Tyra Show" for her studio audience full of deserving moms -- and apparently needs some shirtless men to help her out. We think it's great that Tyra Banks wants to give an audience full of moms a bunch of holiday gifts. However, let's talk about her hunky photo promoting the event. It seems that Tyra has elicited the help of some taxi drivers, carriage drivers and... we'll get to those other two in a second. The taxi driver on the left appears to have just started shaving yesterday, while the one on the right... so that's what Tyson Beckford is up to these days! The carriage drivers look incredibly silly. They're wearing, like, bolero jackets. More than anyone else, they look like they forgot to put shirts on. Finally, there's the two at the bottom. Are they newsies? Shirtless newsies? Open the gates and seize the day, indeed. Or perhaps Tiny Tims? Shirtless Tiny Tims? God bless chests, every one. Except the guy on the left is not exactly what we would describe as a "hunk." Sorry, newsie on the left. Happy Holidays, everybody! To Read More Click here .
